Gus Malzahn? That job is above an assistant coach. And he's a new assistant coach at that, how much of his success is him or Cam Newton? I would only hire a proven winner at this level.

Not yet, but I really don't see Tuberville leaving Texas Tech.

Yeah right, Tuberville wanted the Vandy job but by the time they (Vandy) knew it, they had already started negotiations with Franklin. Thats what they reported on The Zone here in Nashville at the time.

I imagine Tubbs would relish the opportunity to play Auburn every year with Louisiana talent all to himself.

Are you sure? Tommy would have to take a paycut. Jimmy Sexton puts his clients names out for all jobs to keep them in the media.

Id love for Fisher to leave. The thought of having Golden on level playing ground with a Florida and Florida State coach makes me very happy. We're playing from behind after the 4 wonderful years Shannon was coach.

Fisher would be crazy to leave his setup at FSU. LSU is going to be in a very tough position if Miles leaves. Even as good of a job as it is, now is the worst possible time to try to get a new coach.

It will be an underwhelming hire imo.

Fisher got his payday out of it already.

and LSU isn't a program that can really leave FSU in the dust financially like an Alabama/Texas/UF/Notre Dame can

That same site also had an article stating the same thing you are,,, little chance Gus gets the gig.

Gus would be my choice if I'm LSU. He's got connections around the South already and recruits know that name and that offense. Getting kids the first year wont be a problem. I think he could have Miles type success on talent alone.

it would make me sick if chavis followed les to michigan... i just cant see a former vol coach on that mich sideline turning that pathetic defense into something great

Tigerdroppings.com has Gary Patterson on the wishlist. Didn't he just sign an extension that keeps in Fort Worth until the rapture?

If you are looking for short-term you keep JC as DC and hire an offensive OC as head coach. Long term if LSU can get Bo you have to at least feel it out.
