We and him would have been better off. We had 3 losing seasons. With him here he would not be getting ready to be fired at usc and even if we got hit with sanctions it wouldn't be much worse than the 6-7 5-7 5-7 record we had plus no progress in the building of our roster since 2007. We would have at least beaten uf and uga a couple of times and we would have been at the 10 win mark by now. This would be year 5 if he would have stayed.

No way he would have lasted 5 years here. He'd have been fired about the same time that Dooley got fired. He's a BAD coach, plain and simple.

If John C. Fremont beat James Buchanan in the 1856 Presidential Election, the Civil War might have been put off several more years.

I know, look at how he is tearing up Az St while keeping his nose clean.

Go to bed.

that 4th down wildcat pass play was genius by lane. i can see why it was definitely worth burning mattresses over when he left us. i wonder if the patriots or alabama will try to hire him after his great years at USC.

The most startling thing about Kiffin is how his team has imploded after that 2011 season. They went 10-2, upset Oregon late in the season, and had a Heisman Trophy-caliber QB returning for 2012. They've gone 10-7 (assuming they lose tonight) since then.

Also in a lesser conference as well as we would be on probation or have death penalty

OMG! There's a lot of bad threads after these games but this one takes the award for the dumbest.

Kiffin failed at USC. He inherited more talent and has had better recruiting ground than he would have had at UT. He's played in a weaker conference against weaker schedules.

None of us know with certainty what would have happened other than Kiffin would have continued to have no regard for UT or its traditions. He probably would have had a strong recruiting class in '11 which would have helped Jones. However it is unlikely he would have stayed... had he stayed. He either would have lost as bad as Dooley and been fired or he would have used UT as a stepping stone to some other "dream job". He NEVER had respect for UT.

What he's getting... couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.
