I'm actually not upset about the hire because Sunseri's recruiting abilities are top notch. However, I'm concerned about his coordinating abilities. I think the fanbase wants to win, and to some, this isn't a winning move towards championships, which I get.

He may end up as a great DC, but that is unknown right now. It may take him 2 or 3 years to adjust, Dooley needs him to be good as soon as spring practice starts.

IMO the BOT deserves all the blame.They let it get to this.They are the powers that control everything.Not Fulmer,not Kiffin, not Dooley.They are just the people they put in the position.

He's better than the one we have. At some point you gotta hire somebody & I think the best person available in the eyes of Dooley & Hart will be hired. It's becoming hard for some people to comprehend that big name coaches aren't beating down the doors to coach here.

I agree that we weren't going to get a monster name as some suggested, but it is what it is. Our recruiting has been replaced. 50% of CFB is recruiting. That's why this is at minimum an okay hire.

We will know by next december, until then, it is better to support our recruiting efforts by stoping the negative banter. JMO.

Ok here is another example. If you pay for the cheapest item in the store,what are you getting?Chances are it isn't gonna last forever.May last a day,week,month or year. Who knows. But if you go out and get the best of whatever that item is,it usually last for a long time.De4fects do happen,but I think you understand what I'm saying.

I do, and I kind of disagree.

I don't think Dooley was a cheap hire in the terms of we were looking for someone cheap.

I just think it was the situation. I mean, we offered Muschamp (who had never been a HC before) $3M a year. THat's not cheap.

But I agree. If Dooley isn't the guy, we have to go out and offer big time money to show we are serious.

Yes we do.I hope Dooley has a long career at UT.And this hire if it happens may work out.We don't know.Time will tell.He is obviously a good coach or Saban wouldn't have him.I think Dooley is a good coach but he's kinda learning on the fly too.This is a big boy league.Were better off right now then we were when he got here so I say so far,there has been alot of dissapointment.But there have been some upside aswell.

If it is Sunseri, I hope he brings Chris Rumph with him. Very good recruiter. I like Pruitt, but I do not know if we will have two DB coaches.

That's the strongest logic for Thompson, imo. He already knows the players and staff and has a better chance of implementing within the time frame that matters most for CDD at UT.

I don't think Dooley is the guy, but I'm even more convinced that Muschamp wouldn't have been. We got lucky there.

In comparing LT with SS thats my opinion.

I thought LT would be a gamble if he was the primary option out of the gate.

Which ever or whoever it is has to be good yesterday. The transition better be smooth.

Looks to me that Hart is hiring Bama coaches knowing that they will be retained by Kirby Smart if Dooley gets canned after next season! jmo!:yes:

It is. I have alot of info of my own to state why I think he is a great hire, but I know I don't have time this late (I have to go to work in 6 hours) to have a back and forth with you right now. Long of the short, you dont share my opinion, so obviously by default, your opinion is garbage. Jk of course, but you should know how I am by now. Sunseri has only been at Bama since 2009. He's a northeast guy, from Pennsylvania. Just because he's been coaching LB's at Bama for a couple years doesn't make him a "bama guy".
