If I'm Shrout and Maurer I transfer

If I'm a QB I want to play...and I wanna be at a place where I can play. If I am Shrout or Maurer I go to a MAC school if I am assured of starting. If you are good enough it doesn't matter which conference you are in. You will get noticed. Big Ben went to a MAC school.....Carson Wentz to a small school...etc etc....it doesn't mean they don't have any fight if they take an easier route to getting on the field.

Maurer has put enough on film to play against us if it came to that.

From what I have read all the coaches but Pruitt pics maurer and shrout ahead of jg, only Pruitt wants jg,of course I realize you cant believe everything you read. But it makes sense, pruitt wants to control the clock, run run pass, run run pass. But in today's football that only works if you have much superior talent which we dont have, thus our record.

I doubt seriously they stay. They have proven to most everyone that they are better than jg but still dont get to play. If anyone has watched ut this yr it is clear the whole team had a huge turnaround when jg lost starting position. Now it appears he is back and look how ol regressed today, jg led team to only 2 td with a short field. That wont win with the rest of our schedule.

You also have some bad information on the recruiting front. We have several other coaches who discover talent around the country. So you are giving Pruitt way way way way tooooo much credit here. I'm sure some of your friends will even tell you that. Uh, for instance, how bout coach Neids, or coach Johnson or T.
Johnson and Neids are the stuff imo. Maybe even Ansley by now. So it's not so much Pruitt as it is the coaches he hires to do that job.

I think Maurer was not played to save the rest of the season. JG got the game because he will transfer after it's all done. Shrout looked very iffy. Smart move let JG have his time hell he has earned it! MAURER STARTS AND WE WIN OUT!

I’m not flipping out about it BUT I can’t get the infatuation with JG. That guy makes a lot of boneheaded plays PLUS he’s injured.

Maurer was being held out to fully heal and be ready for Kentucky. Same for Wright.

We will have to play very pass protection against KY. They are fairly solid in the trenches.

OL was down a starter and a backup who plays a decent amount of snaps that plays some role in their issues today. Maurer not playing is probably injury related, I would think they wanted to get him one more week away from the concussion (if I recall correctly he didn't get usual reps this week in practice) and he'll be back to QB1 this week. I think the issue with Shrout is he takes more risk and Pruitt believes in his defense that if the offense doesn't put them in a bad position the team can win (especially this week).

The regression today also could've been gameplan related, Chaney called a much more conservative game this week than last. If Maurer doesn't take another snap this year and we continue you start Shrout for 1 series a game then I would tend to agree with you (in some ways I do with Shrout, he deserves more snaps especially this week) but hopefully Maurer is back next week so we can continue the march to 7-5

That’s nonsense..... there has not been any reports of coaches preferring a different QB..... besides that...... Maurer is our starting QB..... he is out with an injury.

Maurer is out injured..... how is that so hard to understand? Pruitt does trust JG more than JT which explains more time for JG..... it’s really not that complicated

Jg played as usual, very inaccurate downfield passes, throwing late, trouble scoring in red zone no change in past 3 yrs. We cant score many points with him in game, the defense accounted for most of the scores today, td on short field and FC's. I am puzzled about maurer, pruitt said all 3 qb were ready to play.
