Just telling you of Im a player I want to play. If you cant get in the game at this point you aint playing.

And yeah I get it about Mauer. I'd keep him out too for today as we are playing in inferior opponent.\

If you get it about Maurer not playing tonight, then why did you say if you were Maurer you would transfer?

If he’s benching Shrout for making a dumb play why is he keeping JG in? It’s not like he’s been some kind of field general

Because JG will be gone next year and young JG will learn not to sling into coverage. Especially when we are going along fine, even with JG in.

JG looked horrible tonight.
Every pass was either slightly late or behind the receiver.
Yes we beat a bad team tonight.
Hooray!
But we don’t make a bowl with JG at the helm.

And this quitter stuff if Shrout or Maurer transfers is hilarious.

Tons of players transfer due to their coaches being a moron. If it’s clear neither of these guys will ever get a fair break here they owe it to themselves to go where they will.

Maurer is being held to insure he’s healthy.
Shrout would likely still be in had he not thrown that pass into double coverage.
JG threw an interception and after a series JG went back in. Tonight was the night to let JT play a half and Maurer play a half to prepare them for the last 3 games should they be needed but guess what, one series and JT is jerked. Put yourself in the kids shoes. So Pruitt lets JG take hit after hit to show how tough he is and take a chance on getting the other hand broken rather than play JT. I call it being petty.
You guys know as well as I do when JG was taking those hits you wondered why in the world would Pruitt leave him in knowing he could injure the hand worse or break the other hand.

That's some of our opinions just like yours. Pruitt is the coach and his being hard headed is not going to help him down the road imo. After awhile his side line antics will run some coaches off and maybe some good players.

Well, you don't hear them complaining about those passed that had no zip or other passes that could have been intercepted. No, jut put JG in there prove how tough the kid is. Wonder why Maurer didn''t play. I thought I understood Pruitt to say he was cleared and ready. Hey don't let the kid have a chance to light it up against a weak team. No way he wants to answer those questions in his next press conference.

I thought Maurer was hurt. Is he not?

Surely we won't redshirt him if he's healthy with bowl eligibility on the line.

Use to you play these kind of games to get an early lead and get your backups live reps but not here at Tn. You kick FGs and have a QB who is already useless and now you trot out a one armed useless QB and leave him in most of the game and he looked like his old self. Pruitt must have forgotten that he replaced JG for a reason , he sucks. Now you pull Shrout after one series and trot JG out there and once again he gets in the red zone 3 times and kick field goals. Shrout played just as good as JG against USCe . If Pruitt trots out JG against Ky or Mizzou or Vandy Tn could lose all 3 games. If Pruitt calls JT handing the ball off getting reps then he might want to rethink his coaching style. JT cant get better handing the ball off. JG has had 2 good games , well 1 good game in 3 years

Maurer is redshirting. You will not see him again.

This is known, or speculation? I'd be surprised if he did. If JG and Shrout stink it up against Kentucky, Pruitt best put him in or I'll get a pitchfork and lead the crowd that burns down his house. (-:

Been saving those posts for this, huh?
Now, almost everybody who lambasted this poor guy for stating an opinion that really made some sense, I understand. They're just happy to get a win. On the other hand, he's got a point. If you were Shrout, would you consider a transfer? I know I would. I'm surprised with your ability for some objectivity that you're on that bandwagon.
