It was nothing - I misunderstood your post about "what is there to be positive about?" I thought you were referring to either a McCain or Obama presidency, and my response was "No more Bush, No more Cheney, No more Rove (hopefully)"- but you were referring specifically to Obama, so my post didn't make any sense.
nothing personal brother.
And do you not believe that we fear what we don't fully know? I don't think we fully know what an Obama presidency will be like. I think we have a better idea of a McCain presidency - he's been around longer, we know his patterns better, he's more familiar. But Obama's still new, and there's much we're still learning. Like what was revealed here:
Anti-McCain folks that claim McCain will be a 3rd Bush term don't know what a McCain presidency will be like.
Comments about McCain being associated with the Keating 5 is similar to Rev Wright/Ayers. People claim McCain is a war monger because of bomb bomb Iran. I've pointed out how his 100 year commentary is used to say he's Bush III etc. Obama himself claimed McCain would set back women's rights by 40 years (no fear there)
Obamessiah is a joking way of referring to the ridiculous devotion that some of his followers exhibit. Comments about his wife's comments can viewed as trying to understand exactly what they value.
In short, the same type of commentary comes from both sides. I don't see how you can claim anti-Obamites are full of fear and hatred and not think the same about anit-McCainites.
Well, maybe we're talking about posters other than ourselves. b/c I don't know where I've posted about McCain's Keating 5 connection nor the "Bush Third Term" assertion. I just don't see that much blatant anti-McCain commentary on this board (Obama's comments don't count). I think you would agree that there are many more anti-Obamites on here than anti-McCainites.
You've either not seen or simply ignored quite a few posts then. With the exception of vbh, not too many posters on here are thrilled with McCain. Obama is simply worse.
have you criticized him for giving us a third term of Bush or for being a member of the Keating 5 or any of the other grievances vbham laid out in his previous post? Otherwise you're criticizing him for not being conservative enough.
