Even though LSU and Ok have lost, theren is no team that stands out. It's as if noone wants to step up and claim the top spot. After those two who else would you pick for #1?OSU with their schedule? Oregon? not really. BC or USF?

You would really have to hold your nose to pick either of them. Who else do you think is really qualified? I think they get it by default.

I'm very aware of all the outcomes of all of these teams.

I'm also aware of weak schedules, future schedules, and statistical differences between these teams.

USF doesn't impress me. Ohio St.'s schedule is rediculous. If Ohio St goes undefeated and plays for the title, Tubberville and Auburn should sabotage their team plane.

The thing that screws with my head is that one or even two of these undefeated impostors will run their table of nobodies and get into BCS championship and leave out much stronger teams that play in tough as nails conference (SEC) or at least play a tough out of conference schedule

Well, I made this point somewhere else the other day, and I'm not trying to say Tennessee will end up in the National Title Game, but there is STILL a LOT of Football left to play.

Of the 20 teams ahead of the Vols, only 5 do not play atleast one other top 21 team.

Here are those 5 and their toughest Games Remaining.

1. Ohio St.- @ Penn St., Wisconsin, Illinois, @ Michigan
2. So. Florida- @ Rutgers, Cincy, Louisville
5. Oklahoma- @ Texas Tech, Big12 Championship
10. West Virginia- @ Rutgers, Louisville, @ Cincy
18. Hawaii- @ Nevada, @ Boise St., Washington

So, that being said, I think this is what happens....

I think Oklahoma wins out and makes it to the National Title Game.

I think Hawaii wins out, is undefeated, and gets passed over for TWO one-loss teams.

I think the other one loss team will either be Ohio St, LSU, or California/USC winner.

You would think that because of their weak schedule, Ohio St would be Hawaii's best shot at squeeking in. Right? Well, here are the Strength of Schedule Rankings of the undefeated teams and the ones I mentioned would get in with one loss. I think you'll be surprised. This is SOS against all known opponents, not just opponents to date:

(Tennessee is 12th BTW)
Ohio St. 21
LSU 26
Arizona St. 30
South Florida 35
California 40
Boston Coll 44
Southern Cal 48
Oklahoma 54
Kansas 67
Hawaii 118
