If they were healthy yes. A healthy Jannah Tucker and Deshields would've been enough to get us to the Championship game alone... I hope Tucker get back to the player she once was. This kid was going to be really special

A good start to getting back......Villanova Cruises To 78-52 Exhibition Win At East Stroudsburg

In the victory, Jannah Tucker led the way with 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting, including a 5-of-12 effort from three-point range. She also added five steals and four rebounds.

Well let's all humor ourselves and say the Vols got there somehow (which I think would be a more fun question to ponder) ... you still have to take into consideration that Pat Summit was 0-4 vs Geno in the title game, Muffet McGraw who is a very good coach who has actually had some success vs Geno in the past 5 years is 0-2, Jeff Walz who has built a few teams that have slayed giants is also 0-2. Let's not forget about Sherri Coale 0-1, Quentin Hillsman 0-1, and Tara Vanderveer is also 0-1.

Even if I weren't a UConn fan, when I look at the pedigree of those coaches, Pat Summit, Muffet McGraw, & Tara VanderVeer being the upper echelon of those in the bunch there is no way on earth I could say Warlick would even have the smallest shadow of a chance to win that game.

Not a chance, and I mean that with all due respect. Tucker, Harrison, and an eligible DeShields would certainly have made the difference in the EE game, but there is no way the Huskies were losing during the last three years. The only Lady Vols team that probably "should" have won the NC over UConn was 03. The opponent would have been different, but I will always believe UT wins in 05 if Parker, Spencer, Fuller, and SWG play in the FF.

So Tucker is now playing for Villanova? Why did she leave UT anyway? We treat her well, help with her issues after her injury and the dumb domestic situation she was involved in, and then she leaves....Typical of the mojo with this program.

I think we have the talent to get to the final four. If you get there anything can happen. I would say our weakness is outside shooting and intelligent passing and defense. If were better in those three areas we can definitely beat anybody in WBB. I will know a lot more after a couple games into the regular season.

Without a doubt they would win it!

Harrison/Dolson - Harrison: Harrison IMO would run circles around Dolson. Although Dolson was more physical, the SEC would have prepared her well for that match up. Dolson wouldn't be able stay in the lane and be a shot blocking presence with Harrison's range as well.

Graves/Stewart - Stewart: Everyone knew the scouting report on Stewart in her early years was to be physical....this would be an interesting match up. Slight edge to Stewart because of her height and range but I think Bashaara could most definitely hold her own.

Burdick/Tuck - Tuck: I gave this to Tuck only because she was one of my favorite college players ever! She was quicker than Burdick and could finish around the basket a little better than Burdick.

DeShields/KML - DeShields: A healthy DeShields would be a no-brainer here. KML had the eye of the Tiger when it came to shooting but I gave the advantage to DD because of her athleticism and height at this position.

Ariel/Hartley - Hartley: Brian was an AA waiting to happen. Ariel would have had a hard time keeping up with her with her mediocre defense. The only thing that Ariel could help us with in this match up would be her outside shooting. It'll allow Harrison more room to dominate Dolson.

They win 3 out of the starting 5 positions IMO, however I think our bench and depth on this team would be the difference maker.

Jasmine Jones could come in and be a defensive stopper on whoever, Carter's defense, Tucker's shooting, Jamie Nared's hustle, Reynolds, Moore, Russell....I think the talent was obviously there with a lot of "what-ifs" that's for sure. I know a lot of people think coaching makes a HUGE difference....but I'd say it's 40% of the puzzle....the other 60% being the type/caliber of players you have. It's been proven time and time again in Womens college basketball, If you have the best players collectively, and a game changer on your team, you're going to win a championship. Maryland and Texas A&M are the only outliers that I can think of at this time without doing any research.

Give Holly a FULLY HEALTHY team in an EE game and we would have been in a FF by now......it's like beating a dead horse around here with some "fans" but I just don't see how some of you can't see that. Every match up we've lost, we had a player out that could have made ALL the difference.

Care to give your critique on the defensive side of this hypothetical game?

Wish it wasn't so, but this team would not have scored more than 60 points against that Uconn team. Uconn for the recent past has pretty much always shut down the opposing teams' best player.

UConn would have scored more than 70. Uconn's inside out game wtih Dolson's outstanding passing would have befuddled the team. Holly would have had no adjusting answers.

More Lady Vol fans need to face reality. Yes injuries have been a problem year over year. But that is not the answer to under performing teams. A contributor? Yes.

Well honestly we wouldn't know exactly how that team would have faired defensively in that game.....it's all hypothetical of course but again I-M-O....we could have beat them with this team!

Press release said she was homesick. I think Villanova is a lot closer to Baltimore than we are.

But yeah, it was a pretty crappy move to get all of that support and then not stick around to help the ones who helped her.
