who would be the most likely successors? I'm asking this because I honestly have no idea, and I'm wondering what we could expect in case this does happen. Who would be the likely candidates, and what could we expect from them?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Now this is just ridiculous.... Dude hasn't even moved into his OFFICE yet and you're wanting to form a coaching search list. Are you sure you're not hatevol in disguise?

Phillip Fulmer, and we would have a return to the "good ol' boy" system and the ideology that those who are part of the family make better coaches. It will be a train wreck.

Don't you mean "When" instead of "if"?

Not referring to that. There's the baseball coach he hired thats been a bust so far, offering Kiffin instead of Kelly, and the 800k buyout in Kiffin's contract.
To be fair, I'd definitely take Kiffin over Kelly as far as potential for success goes. No one saw Kiffin doing this to the program.

Really? Anyone saw Kiffin leaving in a year? I was thinking more like 5 years. No NFL team would hire him until he proved something, and I never saw Carroll leaving, either. I fully expected at least 4 years out of Kiffin. I'd take that any day.

No one saw Carroll leaving USC, at this point.

I could see "the previous coach" taking the job. But it had to be open.

The surprise was Carroll.

Yeah, I just posted that. I never thought he'd try the NFL again. Maybe he's running from violations.
