If Gruden doesn't happen. What about Mark Richt?

He's winning big at Miami. And he's had a lot of good years at UGA. Class guy and runs a good program. Even though he's a UM graduate. He might like being in the SEC again. Better facilities and overall fan base at UT. Probably a lot more money to be made at UT if they want him. Just a thought....

I got a better idea, why don't we get Richt reinstated at Georgia?

I'd take Mark Richt in a heartbeat, he's one of the best coaches in the country, but not good enough for Georgia:popcorn:

Richt has to be loving that Miami schedule

They could lose to notre dame beat Clemson and have a hell of a year. **** they could lose both win the rest and it's still pretty damn good and this is actually one of the tougher schedules they've played recently

Richt proved he was "just short of being a top SEC coach", not winning with all that UGA talent. "Just short of being a top SEC coach" is the definition of a top ACC coach.

He won 2 SEC Championships and was 1 play away from winning a 3rd over Bama.

Perception of Richt is totally changed if that 1 play goes Georgia's way.

All of you Grudenites had better realize that he is never going to be a coach at UT or probably any other college team. Fowgetabout it!!! Why should he put up with all of this crap and leave a cushy job making the big bucks? Amazing how people grasp for straws.

Mark's about a 2.3 on the Richt-er scale. I'd probably roll over and go back to sleep.

I don't get why everyone wants Gruden. He has not coached for a few years and has been out of the college game for a long time. We have not idea how his coaching would work in the college game.

You are aware Gruden isnt happening?

Why would CMR leave is alma mater?

Exactly. Richt has his Alma mater rolling right now, 8-0, #7 in the country. But hey, why wouldn’t he ditch the Canes right now and come to the tire fire that is Tennessee football right now? I’m sure he’d take a pay cut, maybe even quit Miami tomorrow and coach the Vols vs Missouri on Saturday if we just asked.

Are people this dumb? Richt has no incentive to leave his alma mater....Absolutely zilch.

Don’t be ridiculous. He’s staying at Miami as long as they will have him.

You mean the guy that couldn't win big at Georgia, who is #1 in the country 1.5 years after he left? Sure! How about Mike Shula?

Sadly Shula would be a significant upgrade over UT's current coach, but he would never wander into this morass of imbecility.
