If Gran goes, does palardy go?

according to rivals.com Gran is recruiting Jeff Luc too

so if we lose Gran, do we have a possibility of losing Luc, before he even commits?

Could be why Luc is visiting FSU again. Maybe Gran told him something during their last conversation

He would have never even been considering Tennessee if not for Gran - but I think since it's so late in the game and now that he's had time to get acquainted with the school and all that he'll stick with the commitment - unless of course FSU was a school he was strongly considering before.

Of course Gran helped, but if Gran hadn't been here, CLK has been a big part of Palardy's recruitment. He's not a fan of Florida and the only school down there he was considering was Miami. FSU wasn't even on his radar. He liked Tennessee before. There is no reason to start freaking out over this...even if Gran does leave, it isn't going to tear this class apart. I'm confident CLK and staff can find a way to hang on to any recruit we have. And if not, we didn't want them anyways. :)

That being said, I don't think CLK and MH let CEG get away this year...what FSU is offering would be a lateral move, but with a nice raise. I'm sure UT will step up to the plate and keep him on staff. All our assistants are hot right now and there is gonna be turnover. Gran deserved more than the 150K he was getting anyway IMO so I look for him to get a raise at UT and stay put. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I agree. I think Kiffin and Hamilton will do their level best to keep Orgeron, Gran, and Cheney this year at the very least.

If Palardy has watched any of our games (and you know he has), the whole staff could leave and he would still come to UT. He's pretty much guaranteed PT. lol

Palardy is, has been, and will be a Vol. It would suck if we lost Gran, but Palardy is a Vol. Case closed.

He must love Eddie Gran as a person if he wants to play only for him because.....this just in......our special teams SUCKED this year with CEG as the special teams coach. did he even coach special teams at auburn? i don't think this year glorified gran as a special teams guru

It's hard to be good on special teams when no one on your team can kick it past the 10-yard line on a kickoff, or hang the ball in the air on a punt for more than 2-seconds, or elevate the ball when kicking a FG rather than kicking a line drive.

**** Gran.....how do you recruit right now for UT when you know you are leaving for a year. It makes everyhting he syas while recreuiting fake. This is bull****. There should be a requirement for comittment with a new coaching staff.

uh, he hasn't left yet......

i still want both. Palardy should be amazing and Gran is a great guy from what I hear.

But, why would Gran leave when he's just barely started here?! This staff and the recruits have the potential to dominate the SEC. The SEC is the best conference out there. FSU and the entire ACC sucks badly. Don't waste all of these opportunities! Oh, and you'll probably get a bonus for winning a championship!!!

Hire Conrad and we keep Palardy. Conrad can recruit Florida. He has coached and lived there for quite some time. He knows talent, players, coaches, press and is well respected. He knows special teams. He has coached some of the best and his HS special teams are the best in the state! I know, I live here and have watched STA and AB McCarthy play. Class act and knows the game.

About 1% chance of UT hiring a ST only coach, especially one without college coaching experience

Really hope this does not change with Palardy. Does anyone know anything about Florida State's present kicker....good, bad, etc?
