I know everyone is angry at the ARKY loss and many want Fulmer gone. I'm not exactly sure where I stand on this. But I was thinking what would happen if Fulmer were to get fired. I think most give Fulmer credit for being a good recruiter. He needs great assistants because he isn't a great X's & O's guy.
What if the next coach isn't a great recruiter? Tell me what would make a kid want to come to Knoxville? I know UT has great facilities but so do a lot of schools. I'm just interested in every one's thoughts.

If Tenn loses the next two..then Fulmer might want to give U-Haul a call! Other than that, he is safe for 1 more year.

He is here for next year and more. Get over it and get used to it.
So, do I need to book Shreveport, Atlanta, then Nashville, or will our Independence, Chick Fil A, and Music City Bowl appearances come in a different order?

I'm not saying I want Fulmer fired. I just want to know how UT has been successful recruiting. I love East Tennessee, but I'm not sure what an 18yr old recruit would find attractive about Knoxville. I also apologize to anyone who finds this post offensive.

It's your money. Spend it as you see fit. I plan on watching UT. I think we will be even better next year. Progression, look it up!

You need to go to some other coolege towns. Most are smaller and have less to offer than KTown. There are exceptions but generally speaking KTown is right there with any.

USC
OSU
Tex
UCLA
Miami (if you like thugs, bullets and hookers)

I guess you're basing your optimism on all the championships and BCS bowl bids we've garnered in the last 8 eight years. Didn't see a response from about a wager on UT's wins and championships chances next year.

I suspect your mind is full of hate and negativity to the point that you forget, so I'll remind you. I don't bet. Especially on the net. I don't need to make a bet with a negative whiner in order to know what I know.

Like you "knew" we were going to blow Florida out?

ORLY?

Here are some gems from you:

Oh and before someone points out J Russells passing efficiency I don't buy it. He is not throwing for much more than a 5 yard slant most of the time. His % is high because the type of passes they call.

What scares you most about LSU? Their great (he laughs) running game? Their great (he laughs) passing game? The only thing that worries me about LSU is that they have a very fine Defense. If we don't make turnovers we win.

Prior to LSU about Ainge:
This thread is unwarranted. EA is playing and we win.

Post-Alabama I think:

All qb's throw picks. It happens to the best. I just don't see EA having a problem with his accuracy.

So LSU's Offense beat us? UHHH I don't think so Jerry! If Ainge played the game we would have won.
I stand by my statement about EA's accuracy.

What ya got?

Are you talking about that game a couple of weeks ago where our opponent rolled up 500 yards of offense, held the ball for 42 minutes and scored 28 points DESPITE turning it over 4 times?

Yeah, it would have been different if Ainge had played the entire game . . . but we haven't stopped anybody since sometime in the SC game

i think so...thank god for the 4 turnovers or it would have been 2 big blow outs in a row.

Sorry beef, but without JR's ability to turn the ball over, and over we are blown out against LSU.

Hate hit me. I made a bold prediction on the UF game. You have nothing that is not true cactus boy.

VolBeef88 you are wasting your time. You cannot argue with the anti Fulmer crowd. You might as well let it go. Certain ones will just try to attack you.

I prefer to see myself as "pro-competing with the cream of the crop" rather than anti fulmer. If you think the Vols have been competitive with the big boys this year, you have missed a step somewhere.

I'm not convinced another HC is going to come in have a better Football Staff.

Cutcliffe is a good OC/QB coach, and Chavis is a good DC/LB coach. Granted the defense hasnt played well this year, last year the run defense was no. 2 in the country, everyone seems to gloss over that. Brooks has coached a lot of DL prospects into the NFL. They know what it takes to put together a good DL at the SEC level.

I don't think another HC is going to come into UT and assemble a better staff. Granted a few position coaches are unproven, Roper, Adkins, for example; but overall its a good staff. Give them a couple more years together, I think there will be great results. The job Cutcliffe did with Ainge was amazing. Trooper got the WR's going in the right direction.

The gap between UT and the top programs in the SEC has closed some, the coaching has gotten a lot better this year.
