If everyone would have came together for Empty Neyland Movement

If everyone had came together for Empty Neyland Movement when it happened the administration would have gotten the clear message then.

Instead people fell for the "true fans" call from the administration.

If Tennessee fans came together then all this would have been avoided and Tennessee administrators would have gotten the clear voice then and Schiano would have NEVER been Tennessee's first choice.

All of this would have been avoided and Tennessee would have been in a great spot to hire the dream list hires.....

Hopeful we get Pruitt today.... will take a few years but what Tennessee is left choosing from he is the best choice. Hope he can get this ship into harbor before it sinks.
Its inconceivable to me that seemingly reason people cant understand when you're trying to send a "message" to administration, coaches and ESPECIALLY PROSPECTIVE COACHES AND RECRUITS the absolute way NOT to do it is an "empty movement" on game day.....so many comparisons to this I'll not mention even one but that's NEVER the answer.....

Lmao you think people not boycotting is why we are in this situation? The AD had their timeline and they weren’t going to change it.

A poor hire has nothing to do with our timeline. We've had plenty of time. It has to do with our athletic department's unwillingness to commit to winning

An empty Neyland would have changed nothing. The entire problem was the miscalculation that Schiano would be a home run hire. The administration had already received the message from fans that it wasn't acceptable to keep Butch.

The admins were clueless, not football people. That's how you get someone like Schiano seemingly chosen out of nowhere. No clue about the current landscape of football. Good or bad, things will change with Fulmer.

Yea much better to make stuff up based off no factual info claim them as facts, protest the coach with lies,
and get embarrassed by national media and blacklisted by other coaches and agents because the fans made stuff.👍

Empty Neyland = in house protest

Schiano riot= national display of lunatics
(Tennessee administrators needed the riot)
This gave Tennessee a massive black eye though.

All could have been handled with empty Neyland..... instead the anger was released and it was ran as crazy unrealistic fanbase..... instead of a fanbase demanding better from its administrators

Are you not the one who wanted Schiano?

Are you not the one who wanted Schiano?

No I wanted Les Miles

Then it became clear to me Currie was hiring Schiano, although I wouldn't have made that hire then.... Schiano is a good college HC, so I supported and tried to inform people.....

But what in the WORLD does that have to do with this thread?

^^^ That is a fact.^^^

Another fact is that nobody, from the Govenor on down, that has any power over UT cares 1 iota about UT sports or about what we fans want.

That's the number 1 problem my friends.

As long as the $$$$$$ keeps flowing in they have zero serious reasons to spend the BIG $$$$ and force a Pedersen or Venables type coach to either come to Tennessee or to turn down double their current earnings.

When we CAN afford to offer $7 Million or $8 Million per year for a great HC and also offer great $$$$ for a elite staff of coaches/recruiters then for any UT AD to settle for less than a homerun hire at the point we're at right now is flatout failure to our players, fans and OUR entire program.

In todays world if you want to be the best then you MUST pay for the best or become a afterthought in college sports, just another fact.

Our players and fans simply DESERVE to get WINS and lots of them and to WIN the SEC East and have a shot to WIN the SEC Championship and get a shot to play for a National Championship.

That's what our goals are and what we demand from now on because that's what our history and Traditions are and also because...

WE ARE TENNESSEE!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

"Sunshine pumpers" is a stupid phrase, because they don't pump sunshine, they pump piles of crap. "Negavols" are realistic. Deal with it.

Being negative is no more based in reality as being positive. Absolutely ignorant to think otherwise. Matter of fact, the negavols are the most pollyanna of all fans, because they sit around and dream up fanfiction all season about the team and how everything must go and the minute something doesn't mesh with the perfection of their daydreams, they have a total meltdown.

Fire Butch immediately after Georgia and maybe our cluster**** of an AD would have had the headstart they obviously required to make a better hire.

This 100%

However he didn't and it became clear it was up to the fans to demand change....

And the fans dropped the ball..... fell for "real fans" show up no matter what.... or "this is for the players" show up for them.... or " give children tickets" it's about them....

Now the players have hurt worse

Fans look like baffoons by national media

And those kids might not get to see Tennessee be successful before they are adults.....

Could have all been taken care of by empty Neyland and Tennessee would have been able to get a coach other schools were able to attract....

the tickets were already bought. what kind of boycott is that? thats like buying Mayfield milk then refusing to drink it. What good is that? They still got their money.
i get 7 opportunities per year to experience Neyland Stadium. not going to waste it.

Yep tickets were already bought, but if 50,000 people were outside of Mayfield pouring out Mayfield milk , they had bought, they damn sure wouldn’t be saying so what they already paid for it, they would be saying what caused this and what do we do to keep it from happening again before we go broke!!

Nothing is changing with Fulmer. Look at his list. It is worse than Currie's.

I just read an article that said there is still a mystery candidate that isn't mentioned in the so called final three. It indicated that it could possibly be Chris Petersen, probably the only home run hire left.

he is to offensive minded for phil! never happen!

Empty Neyland would have ran off even more of these coaches you want to attract. Get out of your fantasy world and try acting and thinking like an adult.

The reports coming out at that time that the Haslams were hoping he would make a bowl and get another year, which we all thought were crazy, look to be spot on. They really didn't want to fire Butch, and now we see why. They had ZERO plan, other than to keep the sheep singing Rocky Top and keeping the money train rolling.

Being competitive in the SEC is way down the list of their concerns. Bev is far more concerned that the PA announcer at the stadium isn't using gender neutral pronouns.

Yeeeeaaaah, we have no recruiting class left and the coaching list looks like something even a Vandy fan would be embarrassed of. Definitely the fault of Negavols.

If you really care about the program, not supporting it is really stupid. There are other, more effective ways to change the culture at UT.

Like I posted last week, "after this is over, we need to talk".

If we keep buying a poor product, the university will keep trying to sell it to us. As some point we have to say enough is enough.

Surely this is a parody account. No one could be as miserable or ignorant of facts as you appear to be on this message board.

How does this negative behavior help our student athletes? What makes everyone more informed about coaching and candidates than Fulmer and company?
