How much money would the university lose in revenue etc.?

If a lot, is it worth retaining him? I think you have to look at it that way as well.

Stop it. There is no question he is being retained for at least one more year. It's likely he has at least three more years unless we have a disaster next year.

Completely and utterly wrong. We go 5-7 next year and he is gone. I dont know why that is hard to understand.

I'm thinking 8 or more wins and he stays. 6-6 will def not do.

I think with the talent coming back and some solid positive changes, we could pull at least 8 wins.

By next September, the Orange blood will be boiling. Season ticket holders will have renewed, scared to lose priority and their seats, and true Vols will be foaming at the mouth for the opening kickoff. By then these boards will be touting 9-10 wins for the team. Book it.

Apparently you didn't read my post. I said he would be here for at least three more years unless we have a disaster next year. 5-7 is a disaster.

Don't know why you didn't read my post yet still commented like some young, ignorant smartass

No, I have not. I was giving a scenario. I shouldve put IF. Do you disagree with my statement that IF we go 5-7 he should be fired?

No, I agree. 5-7 would be terrible and he would likely be fired. But I don't think UT will lose that many games next fall. Do you?

He has to at least make a bowl game next year to stay. But if we are 6-6 and still getting blown out in the second half of games he will be gone.

OP on a reach. Give it up guys, he is staying! The best thing you can do is show support so that we can bring in a good recruiting class and begin to turn this thing around.

There is no if he is retained. Dooley is not going anywhere. Hart knows what kind of mess he took over. Only some people do not get it.

No, I do not. I have such a hard read from this team though that literally nothing would surprise me. I dont know what to believe. I say we win 7 maybe an 8th in the bowl game. If that happens, I still have very little confidence in Dooley.

I think today 11/29 the plan is for CDD to be the coach in 2012. I think he must win 8 games to see 2013. The one unknown hitch to all this right now is CJW. If he were to announce that he were leaving for UCLA or wherever, I could see Hart taking a very long look at moving all this up. I do not think Hart should consider CJW or anyone on staff for a raise and if Wilcox tries to use the interest in him from other teams as a reason to get one, I say let him go and hire a new head coach now. No CJW, I think CDD needs to go

Hart knows first hand. He stepped into a bigger mess. Look at the athletics dept. as a whole. At least the bb program looks like it'll work out but we'll have to wait and see about the baseball program.

Hart commented that UT only profited $14k this year. We have to get these buyouts paid off before we start another. Hamilton sure done UT a favor.

Face it people.
We're stuck with Dooley til we finish paying Phil and Derek's contract is up.
Last I checked, you can't hire a new coach with credit cards. ain't no green in the kitty.

Just a bad situation. Not enough to fire Dooley but if he doesn't perform next year profits will continue to fall until we get Phil and Hammy paid off.
