If Doodlebug and co. didn't recruit in good faith for the last 6 mos. on the job, then shouldn't UT be able to recoup some buyout money? Look, I know it would be a long shot, but it is obvious that the staff was doing little to recruit for our future once the writing was on the wall. I believe that Graham, and a few others felt confident on being retained. Coach Sally (he likes to be called that) and Doodles (ditto), would find it hard to prove that they maintained their professionalism. I just find it hard to believe that those guys are getting a buyout, when they were hanging in an office on monster.com for the last several months. How else do you explain some of the blatant recruiting f-ups? I encourage the Volnation to "help" keep Dooley's house on the market for a while. You know, burning bags of poo on his front porch for no apparent reason. Used couches left in his front yard. These things happen.:loco:

This post was done in jest. Just saying those guys were laughing all the way to the bank. Now we are behind on all the in-state kids for next year. Particularly Hurd.

This staff catches up fast...we're not behind on Hurd...Butch and co...especially Elder who seems to live in Nashville nowadays...are practically adopting these kids

When are people gonna get over the buyouts? The University agreed to and signed the contracts. It does not matter if we like it or not it is still a binding contract. All coaches from the previous staff will get what the contracts call for so lets forget about the buyouts. Its all a part of present day football.

What do the buyouts have to do with the average fan anway? To heck with that. It's not like any of us are paying it specifically. The ticket prices are based on demand for tickets. The donations come in based on designated seating areas and special gifts. Add in TV revenue. The two village idiots have it all figured out - move on, nothing to see here.

Some posters on here are just now waking up as to what went on over there for 3 years. Little late to the party don't you think?

Its more than a long shot its absurd. There's a contract involved. That was the buyout. You can't even remotely put a dollar value on who he didn't or did recruit or lack thereof. Dooley is out Butch is in. We should move forward as opposed to focusing on the last three years.

It's posts like this that proves vol fans are not immune from quacks. Unfortunately, we have our fair share! Please anyone that is not a vol fan and reads this, most of us are way above this!

Not sure we have legal recourse but his ineptness and lazy recruiting practices are sickening. We had the recruiting budget, the facilities and the tradition, but he couldn't sell water to a man dying of thirst in a desert. Who did he have in the pipeline? The job ate him up and made him totally useless.
