Can play and practically tie Bama at half the last few years, Butch should be able to get this game into the 4th. This Bama team is worse then the three Fooley coached against. I'm not saying we win, but I think with the massive progress Butch has shown and done with this team, I feel good about keeping this game close.

Thoughts?

I think the defense plays tough but gets worn down because the offense doesn't get going until late. Tennessee gets a couple of 2nd half touchdowns and Alabama wins 35-21.

Bama keeps getting better every week. This is going to be a very tough game. I think it is another measuring stick.

I think Worley will have to play the best game of his life for it to be close in the fourth. I'm talking Worley hitting 70% of his throws while not making poor throws to open WRs. We can't make turnovers on offense, and we have to run over a 100 yards for it to be close. Bama is a different breed and honestly I just don't want a lay down from us.

Give me the Vols, straight up! Based on the last two weeks, it's tough to think that this team can't run through a brick wall, even if it's built by Saban.

We may lose by 3 points, 7 points or 27 points; but, CBJ has the players, this is the most important part, believing in themselves.

Team 117 has already put the SEC on notice: we are no longer a push over. Bring your best or the Vols will beat you.

Since this is a Dooley thread i'll use a variation on one of his quotes, "Now the SEC REALLY doesn't have Tennessee to kick around any more"

Agreed. I think Coach Jones will have this team believing they can win and that could go a long way. Think it will take Bama early to midway through the 4th to put us away. :twocents:

A positive is that Worley has played against them before, due to Bray's injuries. Hopefully that will lead to a more confident, settled QB. If we can keep the pocket clean, and give him easy throws where we can counter the complexity of Bama's coverages, we should be able to keep it close (10 pts or so). If Worley gets rattled and our D is on the field all day, it could get ugly. Surely they can't blow out 3 teams in a row like they have the last 2.

Good thoughts, reasonable. Except, how do you figure this team is worse than the last 3? They've won their last 5 games 201-16. They're dominant right now.
