Nun, very good and accurate post. A lot of people don't wanna admit it but best thing for the program is if Cuonzo succeeds.

They actually have more history than one game. I think Martin is 3-5 against him. But I really don't care much about that. Each school and situation is different and brings a different set of challenges.

I would make a run at Buzz Williams, then Donnie Tyndall. Tyndall would do a great job at Tennessee. He will press some, run a zone defense, man to man and recruits real point guards that are quick and can handle the ball. His teams play hard all the time.

Why would Buzz Williams leave Marquette for Tennessee, that's a downgrade.

Is it really that hard to figure out.....we hired a guy with 3 yrs total experience without a NCAA tourney appearance from the Keady tree (not that exciting)...as for pearl..... He replaced a coach that has had much more success than himself at this time. He will be criticized and/or compared to pearl until he proves himself as a coach.

Pearl's no longer here and isn't coming back, no need to continue to bring him up.

If you or whoever else wants to do that to yourself fine, but I don't think Hart is comparing the 2 or holding Martin to that standard. I don't think he's saying Martin you gotta make sweet 16s or elite 8s like the last coach or you're a failure.

A lot of the fan base likes to hold our coaches to a much higher standard than the AD does IMO.

I don't hire any coaches or fire any coaches.....what does it matter what Dave hart thinks of Zo....he probably doesn't think as low of Martin as some of our fans nor as highly as you seem to think of him.

Message boards are a place to vent both positively and negatively....it has no effect on Martin keeping.....fan apathy could have an effect but we have not reached that point yet.

Unfortunately, this is the same standard that UCLA apparently thinks they need to use, too. Fire a coach who has been to 3 Final Fours and just won the PAC 10. They are still looking for the next Wooden. They won't find him again...but don't tell them that.

Interestingly, I heard on ESPN radio today that Wooden's record after year 3 was not good. He evidently really started his run in year 4 or 5. I haven't looked it up but Cowherd said he was shocked when he researched it.

In no way should Martin be compared to Bruce. Martin needs to win but comparisons are simplistic. Bruce was arguably the best coach we have ever had. We just need a solid one who will win more than he loses and goes to the dance.

Because I'm realistic you and many others seem to think I'm a Martin slurper or whatever you guys call them...I'm not happy with missing the dance 2 straight years, and I'm not sold Martin is the coach of the future...however I'm confident he deserves some more time and that he has us in good shape to be dancing next year and potentially build off that...

You think Hart feels much differently than that?

I have never said he needed to be fired right now either.....I don't have a lot of confidence in his abilities to get it done though.....the way you talk on here says different, you act like you get really offended when someone talks negatively about Zo.

Did you ever see the movie Ladies Man.....when the guy dropped his pants......the bright lights lit up and the music sounded aaaaaaggggghhhh!!! I picture Zo that way whenever you see him walk into the room. Lol

No, I just more than anything get annoyed at those saying farrr shaft he sucks...too many idiots don't realize how much bad that does. Not enough realize that the best thing for this program would be for Zo to succeed, so yea that's what I want and what I am pulling for.

There seem to be more pearl fans than Tennessee fans, I really don't think Zo has done that bad in 2 years considering the circumstances and certainly not bad enough to warrant having his head called for.
