First, you used 2009 as an example. That year we didn't use Jim Chaney's system, and he didn't even call plays. So, that was stupid.
Next year, we bring back every running back that actually has talent and return the entire offensive line. And, with the return of all of our playmakers on the perimeter, teams will be forced to try to defend our passing game first, which I think will open more lanes to run in.
Because if I didn't someone would have undoubtedly said, "we ran the ball good in 2009," so I wanted to address it out of the gate.
Solid theory. So we have to have a dynamic passing attack to even be competent running the ball? I have my doubts. Vandy proves it.
