I've seen a lot of "If CDD goes 4-8 or 2-10, then he gets fired" threads the last few days, So I thought I would ask the following...

If CDD turns out to be some kind of coaching wizard and goes 10-2 this year, do we give him an extension, a raise, or wait and see what he daoes the next couple of years???

Also, say he is a phenom and goes 10-2 or 9-3 the next couple of years, and Mark Richt keeps UGA in its current light of irrelevance, does CDD bolt for UGA when the job comes open???

Just want your guys thoughts...

1) He will get COY throughout the nation

2) I'd give him one more year before giving him a big extension

3) He won't leave to go to UGA. He doesn't want to follow his dad's footsteps, and frankly, I don't blame him.

I'd literally sh** a brick if CDD went 10-2

Slight raise if he wins that many that early

There is NO WAY Dooley leaves for GA....he has already said he doesn't want to be his father

if he goes 10-2 this year, you better give him a raise and extension to keep him happy.

1) He would be the unquestioned COY if we go 10-2 this year.

2) No extension. See what happens over the next two to three years before doing that.

3) HIGHLY doubt that he would coach at UGA.

Just my opinion.

1. He doesn't wanna coach at UGA. He already said thats his dad's legacy, he wants to start his own.

2. The NCAA would prob start an investigation haha.

3. I'd cry some more.

Anyone remember that huge Charlie Weis extension? I don't recall how long Dooley's contract is but I'd wait until he completed 3 years before giving him an extension, or 2 if his contract was only 3 years long.

If he would go 10-2, there would be a mob on here wondering why he lost 2 games!!

I, for one, would be ecstatic and call it lucky. Let's see if he can do the same next year or 2012.

I'd rather have a win over Alabama or Florida than 10-2.

If he goes 10-2 with this team he can lose by 70 points to Florida and Bama and I'd forgive him.

How is that being dumb?

Because it would benefit the program a lot more with a 10-2 season than going 2-10 with wins to only Bama and UF. That shows that Dooley can't get his teams to be consistent, and talent wasn't a problem. Now if you would rather go 8-4 with wins against Bama/UF, instead of 10-2, then I understand what you're saying more. But I'd rather have all the wins I can get.

Exactly. Before we give him a huge extension, let him develop more consistentcy. Hell, look at the Fulmer extension.

If he goes 10-2 this year, look for a national championship within the next two years

Hell, look for an SEC title this year if we won 10 games. That means BCS game, and if the losses was to Oregon and a west team, we go to the title game.
