If CBJ walks, here's my HC wish list:

It's funny how all these coaching wish lists threads keep popping up, when Butch isn't going anywhere

I don't think Butch will be fired. Nor do I think he should without the chance to overhaul his staff. But if he lacks resiliency and walks away on his own...

$6 million dollar men:
Chris Petersen - #1 on my list in 2008, still #1 on my list now. Make him say "no," then offer more.

Chip Kelly - make him say "no," but only after you've made Petersen say "no" at least 3 times.

$3 million - $4.5 million:
someone who's been a successful college head coach, knows the SEC, and/or has NFL experience.

MacIntyre - SEC experience. NFL experience. One of the most successful members of the Cutcliffe coaching tree. And he's gone 10-2 vs. a schedule in which virtually every opponent has had several cycles of higher rated recruiting classes, meaning this year's success is a product of pure coaching (scouting, player development, X's and O's, etc.).

Right now anything other than those 3-4 would concern me

I'd be pretty pleased with any of the top 5. Mullen would probably be able to attract better recruits than he's been able to at State and you would think we'd give him more $ for quality assistants. And even after I typed this, the more I've thought about what Schiano could bring, the more I've liked the idea.

But hopefully Jones can turn it around. I really think a serious upgrade of his coaching staff could be enough to get us over the hump.
