Having 30/40K at the LSU game next week (might) get their attention. I got this real bad feeling that Butch will not be let go until after the season is over.

Currie is going to get Butch Jones hurt if he doesn't let him go soon. Some of these rednecks mean business.
I live near Fulmer, and there were folks holding up signs and screaming at his house, and that wasn't even the year he was actually fired.

He'll be fired when he's fired. You and I have no hand in it.

I want Butch replaced too, but I'm not going to pretend to know what's best for the situation as far as when the replacement goes down. That grown men are acting like five-year old children who didn't get their way at the toy store should be more depressing and disturbing than the brick that was collectively shat on field tonight.

If Butch isn't fired tomorrow, the sun is still going to rise. Your degree will still be worth something. And you'll be glad you don't have to be the one to answer the emails and phone calls the AD will be inundated with.

Before tonight I was thinking he would finish out the season before being fired. After tonight I do not see how we can have him out there for another game. Time for the players to Varsity Blues this thing and go on without CBJ if Currie doesn?t can him this week.

He will not be fired. At this point I fully expect Currie to come out and say Lyle is getting an extension to try to ease the recruiting hemorrhaging and give some ba excuses that sound like Lyle talking. It’ll be some crap about a random bad year, unexpected and never before seen circumstances. How if it weren’t for these horribly unlucky things Lyle would have gotten us to the playoffs and a NT and that he fully supports Lyle, his system and his whole staff.

If Currie is forced to fire Lyle then expect it not to happen til mid December and then excuses about Christmas break and New Years hindering the hiring process and then once all the top coaches are taken he will roll out something in line with Jones/Dooley and how they are high character, do things the right way, and how their barely above .500 record is amazing cause it happened at craptastic u and that they were barely below .500 when they got there.

Butch, there is a solid quantitative case for. The only reason I can think of to fire Currie is that he hasn't come out in public and handed out orange-colored pacifiers and patted a group of entitled fanatics on the head and told them his whole plan.

There's a calculus to the situation, and it depends on more than trying to preemptively act against a toddler grocery store meltdown because Mommy wouldn't go to the ice cream aisle first.

Good gravy. I hope to heaven that some of you aren't in positions that allow you to terminate someone's employment without just cause.
