My non-standing arthritis-ridden self will out-yell and out-cheer your mouthy, intolerant arse any day of the week.

My previous comments about people who cant stand we're wrong. I jumped the gun on that one and I apologize to anyone that has health issues. But in my recent comments I have said that it's a two way street. We all pay for tickets, and have the right to do what we want at the stadium. People saying it's "rude" to stand during the game I feel dont see the other side. Is it not rude to TELL or yell at someone to sit down?

That I can agree with. When I do make it to a game, I go with the full understanding that people have different ways of enjoying said game. I think people who call it rude to stand during the game aren't willing to roll with the times.

Hat, just so you know you're going to be visited by three spirits in your latter years.

I'm not sure if you'll tell the first one to kiss your ass and promptly go back to sleep or humor the first two only to tell the last one, "Let's Roll."

The only three spirits I'm concerened about are Patron Silver, Chivas Regal, and Woodford Reserve.

If the person standing the entire game blocking the view of someone who bought tickets but are unable to stand. Is that not rude on the people who stand? Alot of times people end up standing because the people in front of them are standing and blocking their view. Standing and yelling is no louder then sitting and yelling and stomping feet. One day the young people on here will get older and not be able to stand as much and will understand how it feels.

I for one can stand the entire game but I choose not to unless the people in front of me are standing blocking my view.

I said it was a two way street. It could be argued it's rude on both sides. What im saying is we all buy our own tickets, and because of that, noone should be told what to do.

I'm agreement with Hat on this one. If you want your kids exposed to thousands of adult men and women acting like crazed fans that have been drinking, then that's not very responsible, IMO. If you can't get a sitter, stay home and watch the game or listen to it on the radio and provide an environment that is better suited for a young child. I think it's pretty selfish that someone may put UT in front of their own child's needs, especially when it's like 50 degrees outside. It's almost the equivalent of taking them to a bar, whether you have been drinking or not.

Yep, my kids love going to games. Sure they get hungry, sleepy and cranky. That's what happens when you can't find a sitter

I don't know about other people, but when I was little and I acted up the least little bit, I got the crap slapped out of me and a bloody mouth. I quickly learned to keep it shut when in public.

In today's politically correct world though, if you did that in Neyland Stadium and the wrong person saw you do it, you might be hiring Hat to represent you. Just saying, not that I have an issue with it and I don't.

Total crap, we should be able to take our kids to share the experience. I wish my parents were able to do the same but they couldn't afford it. My kids LOVE Neyland and there is no better feeling than my kids falling in love with what I love

If they are old enough and aren't complete brats, I agree. Infants and kids just a bit older are what the OP is talking about. If there is a 3-4 year old that is well behaved, that's fine by me. Still though, you shouldn't expect people to be considerate in the atmosphere you are in. It's just not one that's suited for a child of that age.

Yeah, I know, and that's a sad thing that you can get into trouble for dishing out discipline to your own kids.

I agree with that. It looked like in the post I responded to that you were against kids coming to the stadium, period.

No way. Kids should be allowed, but the people who are selfish enough to bring their 6 month old should be scolded for bringing a child into that environment that old, especially with the weather. It's just not suited for kids that age, and never will be.

If I had an infant child I would not take them to Neyland Stadium, any movie theater, or theme park.

That's just me though.

Cute kid...nothing wrong with young kids going to FB games...Went to my first game when I was 4...and I remember it. I would much rather have a couple next to me with a 1 to 5 year old as opposed to a 30 or 40 year old drunk idiot.

Go Vols

Watched her first game with her Dad at 3 months. She knows the Vols and hates the Gators. We went to the night Vandy game in 2007 she made it all the way through. Check out the picture attached......This is the look on her face as she realized she was actually in Neyland and it wasn't on TV......That is why we take young ones to the game she is a little over 1 1/2 years old.

That's awesome. I can't wait till my son is big enough to sit up by himself, then he's going to his first game at Neyland. If he screams that's great. It's what your supposed to do at a football game.

I've found using constant profanity and "accidentally" spilling drinks on them to be the best way to deal with people stupid and self centered enough to bring their worthless snot machines to a game.

And you come across as a much more laid back person in those Binder & Binder commercials. :whistling:
