Ideas to make Neyland's capacity LARGER

Scalpers buy the tickets. If they had a third level that was much cheaper than the rest of the stadium it could be a lot of fun. The area above the green monster at Fenway was easy to buy when it came out, you could get it from the walk up window. Then people started enjoying it so much and the "poor" in that section had so much fun that it became one of the hardest tickets to get and scalpers started buying it.

If you linked tickets to the person who purchased them or required that person to in writing give the right to the bearer, you would not have a Neyland where scalpers take up tons of the best tickets and the seats remain empty while real fans sit farther away.

Neyland MUST remain the largest stadium in the SEC!

Everything Hammy has done so far has only slightly reduced capacity. But the "TN Terrace," which involves ripping out all the bleachers from end zone to endzone in the upperdeck on one side and replacing them with expensive chair back seats, is a HORRIBLE IDEA. It will take a huge chunk out of the total capacity, and it will replace normal fans with the "golf clap" crowd.

As for the noise in Neyland, although the product on the field is the biggest factor, DO NOT discount the role of the type of fans that are going to the games. With all the new expensive seats, the fanbase attending games is totally different - and much less roudy.

To make things even worse, the number of students - the most important fans as far as atmosphere - will begin to dwindle as Hammy begins to charge them for tickets. This fee will have a bigger effect than you may expect.

TAKE BACK NEYLAND!!!!!

How about a giant plexiglass roof, where thousands of people could sit or stand on top of the actual game action and look down below for a great view!!!

Have you seen how expensive those seats are?! I looked into it b/c it would be pretty sweet to have a chair w/ a back around midfield. There is a one-time donation of $1000 per seat and then a $3000 per seat ANNUAL donation. I'm very interested to see exactly how successful they are at selling those seats... b/c I don't see it happening.

Make Neyland Stadium like Texas Stadium and add a retractable dome . That wouldn't make the stadium bigger but damn it would be cool. Plus it would give us that " our stadium is the only stadium in the SEC that has...". I know this is a stretch but I can dream.

(this may has already been mentioned)

just make it a chain link and steel dome like the thunderdome...tina turner can take over the pa duties and people can just lie ontop chanting "two teams enter, one team leaves."

If they'd take away all the donations and crap you have to do for season tickets there would be a waiting list.

How about ways to make it LOUDER?

Such as:

living up to "I will give my all for Tennessee today!"

Gettin' off your butt, being vocal, and not waiting on something good to happen before doing either?

Drinkin' Jack instead of rum.
