So we really can't add another level.... BUT, while highly unlikely, we could demo the chairs in the north upper deck and put bleachers in their place.

Does anyone know how many seats this would add?

I think that addition was worth 10,000+ seats so I guess we'd need to determine the chair back seat to bleacher seat ratio.

I just hate the idea that Bama's stadium is about to hold more than ours.....

thoughts?

i think we could add a third level in the endzone opposite of the jumbotron... UGA has a third deck that would be comparable.

Not going to happen. Hamilton is on record as saying that he doesn't think it matters what the exact capacity is as long as it's over the magic 100,000 number.

He's probably right, but it still kinda sucks that Alabama is going to be bigger.

Currently there is not a waiting list for UT season tickets. For that matter, there are still several thousand season tickets available. In order to create a "third-deck" level of demand for tickets, UT would have to win another NC and gain a whole lot of bandwagon fans. That or the Titans would have to move out of Nashville...

I don't think there's any part of the stadium where a third deck could be added. Besides, there's no point in trying to expand capacity until we prove we can sell out the current capacity, which isn't happening so far this year.

Obviously the administration decided that revenue is more important than capacity when it started taking seats out.

A third tier on either side of either skybox to the begining of the curve of the deck below. An extra 18,000 easy. Numbers Hammy should consider. Could even go with luxury high back seating. $$$$$

If our stadiums increase in capacity was directly proportional to the amount that Crompton is going to suck this year.... Wow, Indy speedway lookout!!!

Eric, your idea is feasible but I think it would require too much sideline space.

maybe UT doesn't understand why there are still season tickets left. maybe people don't care to pay an arm and a leg every year to get tickets. that's why we gave up ours after my family had them for 45 years.

I'm talking about expanding within the next 10 to 15 years.. not in the near future. There would be no reason to add any until we can prove to sell out again. But there will come a time within the next 10 or so years where we will have to expand just because of population getting larger within the city.

Get rid of all fat fans and paint the numbers closer together. UT could say they were doing it for the health of the Volnation.

I agree with you. What is the minimum donation for ticket privileges, $500??

Once you pay a donation of $500 and then buy your tickets at face price it will eliminate MANY, MANY people. Myself included.

$500 donation + 2 tickets at $45 x typically 7 home games (8 this year) = $1130. Then you will pay to park $10 minimum, then if you eat or drink anything easily another $20+.

It is expensive. These numbers are on the minimal side of things.

Go ahead an flame me, but my family doesn't have the money to throw around for season tickets. I am 100% a Vol fan and would love nothing more than to be able to be a season ticket holder.

The full renovations to Neyland aren't expected to be completed until 2020. This is not an option.

Every big football school charges high prices for tickets. You have to pay for this new coaching staff somehow...

maybe crompton could do the demolition with his passes

Can't happen; someone told me that Stephens will be the starter.....

I have a very good source thats very closely associated with the team and to me that told me yesterday there is mostly no QB controversy. I was told that Nick Stephens will be the starter and everything that CLK has told the media about Crompton being the starter is mostly wrong unless some miracle occurs turning crompton's brain into Manning's. I didn't ask why but one can only assume it's to attract a high profile QB prospect. He also said that Crompton will probably start the season but Stephens will take over soon. He added that Stephens is playing alot better in practice and has a better understanding of the system.
