I know it has been said by a few others, but the only stat that needs to be said is 2-2 against VANDY. If you can't even be #1 in Tennessee, why worry about the SEC? I am pretty sure this year's contest will be another barnburner. Keeping this guy as coach makes absolutely no sense. I don't care how many injuries you have. Whatever excuse you want to come up with. If you can't beat VANDY year in and out, you have no business being the head coach of Tennessee. Period.

Butch has had many opportunities to add quality assistants and hasn't. No sympathy for him, nor a desire to wait and see if he might one day bless us with an already tardy change in assistant hiring approach. Yes there are many other better candidates out there. With an average, emphasis on AVERAGE SEC coach we would be a two loss team right now.

It's tough...cuz I see these videos of Butch...and I see him going to the ground after the Georgia game last year....and I want so bad for this guy to have success. I think he really did care about UT...a lot...and this losing is tearing him up. It's just such an...."unfortunate" situation. I wish he coulda made it. Just a sucky situation.
