I would be much more excited about playing Virginia Tech than Wisconsin... Virginia tech has 3 losses and alabama is one of them... the other 2 losses are very close.. VT bet Miami by like 21... I am excited.. go vols!

I agree. I think CLK gets more mileage out of a VT win than a Wisconsin win. Nothing against Wisconsin but VT gets more media attention nationally.

I love it. they are a top 15 team. If we beat them were are ranked. great match up. Who cares that the game isn't a new years day game. Ill take a dec 31st game against a top 15 team than a new years day game against wisconsin or northwestern any day

I was kinda looking forward to a possible Wisconsin matchup because I played in high school with one of their defensive linemen. But overall I agree, much more exciting to play a ranked team. Also this game probably will have bigger TV ratings than the Outback due just to the time slot, etc...

I agree, not a big fan of the Peach bowl but it get's a lot more pub than that snooze fest outback bowl. There were SO MANY empty seats the last two times we played in the outCRAP bowl.

The Georgia dome jinx ENDS ON DECEMBER 31ST!!!! Just in time for Tennessee's to their annual run at the SECCG in the damn for years to come.

I would much rather play VT than Wisconsin. I have been wanting to play them since 1998. I didn't think there was a bowl match up that would drive me to go, but I guess I stand corrected. I am booking my hotel in Atlanta now.

This is a very nice matchup. This is much better than playing a boring big ten team at 10 in the morning.

O.K.,We have a very depleted defence from injury and a thin O-line.Here is the question,Would you rather have a bigger bowl game and a loss or a lesser bowl and a win?

I'd rather have less negative talk out of you.

I have confidence in our coaches and our players, especially with a month to prepare for one game.

I, like others like the time slot at 7:30 pm New Years eve. As opposed to 11:00 am New Years Day. More exposure.

I also like that VT is ranked top 15. The stats say we will be challenged to win. Personally I wouldn't have it any other way.

What three million each For a game someone offered each team 20 million to appear a few years back at The Bristol motor speedway for a game. I call that priceless....

I agree completely. I think as far as national exposure us vs. VT is much more attractive than if we had played Wisconsin or Northwestern. The bowl game time and date is also much more attractive than the Outback. 11 a.m. kickoff? I have never understood that. New Years day morning most are still recovering.
