I would like to see more Keller

JG is the better QB. That's why he beat Keller out in camp. The best QB in camp wins the starting job, period. It doesn't matter how good the backup looks in garbage time against a garbage team.

People Said Dormady would be a lot better passer than Dobbs and we all know how that turned out!

This x 100 . Deer in the headlights my arse , if anything he is hanging on to to the ball too long because he is trying to make the right / big play

Could it be that with our turnstyle o-linemen that holding onto the ball in what would be a normal acceptable time is looking like too long?

On the only sack of the last game it was one of the few plays where it appeared JG held onto the ball for too long. If you go back and look at the play the play the pash rusher got to JG in 2.8 seconds. Think about this what most QB coaches will say is to have an internal clock and that clock should be at 3 seconds. JG holding onto the ball for “too long” wouldn’t even max out the coached internal clock. This tells me:

1.) JG on close to all of his snaps is getting the ball out in around 2 seconds or less making 3 seconds look like an eternity.

2.) Our o-line is not only terrible at run blocking but absolutely abysmal at pass blocking. That’s why pass blocking was the least rated PFF grades of any PFF grade on the team. Most of this is not stemming from not knowing who to block but from just flat out getting beat. Getting your o-line into the right protection ain’t gonna help that.

He just looks more confident in general. JG has that deer in the headlights look nearly every time I see him. If I can notice it from the TV screen then i'm sure players can as well. And this isn't too surprising considering experience brings confidence and KC has 3 years more experience
You say he has deer in headlights look, CJP says he has held his poise great. Who should I believe?

Yes. Marino was a whiner. Looking pleadingly at the sideline when the O line was struggling. No wonder he never won a Super Bowl. A vote of no confidence in the O Line (on many plays) does not win championships.

I want Tennessee to win and will root for whoever is on the field. ...Root for the Tennessee team rather than fan favorite individuals.
Lol.

I know winning this year is a desire, but do you guys want to win next year. We need JG to play as much as possible, will only help next year when Chryst is gone and our primary backup will be Shrout, who hopefully will see some game time in the back end of the season. The biggest problem on the field is exactly what everyone expected. The line. It has been a problem for the past several years, too small, too slow, too weak. The few guys who have been decent have had their careers or playing time cut by injuries. Will take time to flip the depth in recruiting to get the bulls needed up front to do the work. Until then, we just gotta endure.

Our coach has chosen Guarantano as the starter and there is a reason. I’m behind him and believe the Jarrett will help us get where we need to be. Go Vols
