I would like to see more Keller

LivinginthePast and DeltaVol05 joined VN.com within two days of each other, at the start of this season. And are all over arguing in favor of more playing time for our backup QB.

Hmm.

Is that you, Mr. and Mrs. Chryst? I really like your son, he seems a solid young man. Glad he's our backup QB! *salute*

??? Okay so are you discouraging people from joining? Just because I want to see chryst throw more against a weak team? If we played Florida next week I'd say go JG. I have been reading these forums for years. Maybe more than you. I thought this site was for talking about football not talking crap. Your comment literally is just trolling. I just made a username the other day after years of viewing.

This is a fair argument for sure. But I'm just interested if chryst can get more offensive production. We look bad a alot at offense so far this year . We kicked it up second part of this game but still.....opinions vary for sure. Honestly the way our fans are one bad qb game and they are under fire anyways .

I was just happy Chryst utilized our Tightend DWA .... Unlike JG but for some reason when JG was in they were sending DWA on deeper routes. Just get him over the top of the LB on a seam and he is headed to the endzone.

Oh, no, please don't misunderstand. I'm glad you're here, you and Mrs. Chryst as well (just kidding about that; you have to admit the coincidence is amusing).

Volunteer Nation is a huge, messy, chaotic, inclusive place. Just can't be too thin-skinned, we tend to argue a lot with each other. :)

Lol where did I state that KC was some great QB? You and Mirimac are ridiculous.

All I stated was that JG could learn some things from KC. Simple as that.

Edit: I also said JG did really well and also stated that I am not advocating for KC to start.

Perhaps he could learn a thing or two in terms of reading defenses. If there is anything for him to learn from Chryst I hope he does take it in.

It honestly just comes with experience and with studying film. KC has just had 5years of that. JG roughly a little over 2. He will get better as the year goes on, even with his passes.

Either way both QBs are good. I'm not worried if one gets hurt.

That I can agree with. I do like having KC as an insurance package.

Chryst isn't slow in his drop. Chryst is quick at reading and at releasing the ball. Like what was also mentioned is he can read the D. Which is how he knew to go to Jordan Murphy on his TD pass.

That being said JG has done well. Besides making our receivers who have beat their DBs slow up their strides. But again that can be fixed. Both are good QBs.

I know what your saying but what I’ve seen of his play says different

All I said was if KC could teach anyone anything that he's be starting. Nothing more. He would be a backup at Stanford just like he is here.

I still think JG takes to looonnggg getting the ball out of his hands... Saw it in person today, several receivers open, ball was to late or under thrown!!

I can't express this enough that Chryst lost his starting job at Stanford. He's not the starter and won't be unless JG goes down. CJP needs him to be ready as the backup and gave him meaningful snaps. End of story.
Dude what happened at Stanford means nothing right now. Quit posting it over and over, regardless of the current situation.

I doubt I’m old enough to be Mr. Chryst.

If I’m ever in Denver, can you hook me up with Broncos tickets?

JG needs every snap he can get. Kid has skill and needs more experience. He is playing slow because hes slow thru progressions and the OL is swiss cheese. Not sure why they dont use the Crompton technique and cut the field in half with roll outs

I would like to see Keller get more reps just for the fact it appeared to me even in the game yesterday that he gets his hand offs and reads in quicker. Like the offensive plays seemed to develop faster when he was in. JG is doing good but to be an RPO type quarterback is running ability and decisions still leave some questions.

JG needs the game reps.

But, if you look at the tape, JG is trying to figure out how to do his job.
KC is helping everyone else do their job better.

If you want to win the game, play the one with he better win loss record. Only QB stat that matters to the rest of the team.
