No way AL is not in the either of these polls as best travel or passionate. You have to damn near be a millionaire to travel with AL nowdays since they play in SEC CG and then 2 playoff games. And their fans are there in large #'s. Hell I can remember just a fews yrs ago Neyland could have been an AL fan sellout and damn near was a couple of times.

UT in Nashville & UCF vs. UF in Tampa, not surprised.

60,000 Utah fans at the Rose Bowl is impressive.
Now imagine if we made the Rose bowl or the equivalent. That would mean we had a really good year. In a big game like that you could bet that our starved fan base would be there in full force.

The Big Orange Caravan as it relates to traveling fans following the team is renowned across the lower 48. We have an extraordinary reputation for traveling in large numbers, being good natured, and spending freely. The value of this reputation is immeasurable. Live up to it and be adored by chambers of commerce everywhere.

I think we really benefited from having the game in Nashville.

It didn’t help they scalped tickets from the bowl. I think Tennessee would have drawn well in Fla, Charlotte or Atl. I would have gone to Florida.

Tennessee fans pack 40-50k in Florida too, so the Nashville factor isn’t everything. But how is South Carolina #11? They played in Charlotte and the place was empty.

You think everyone in orange that attended that game lived Nashville?
I’m not saying tennesse fans don’t travel good. I’m just saying how do you come up with a chart like that. I’m in west Tennessee 8 hours from Knoxville. I get that is traveling but is it the same as crossing three or four states. Just saying it’s hard to come up with a chart showing who traveled the best when the distances for everybody are different. I still believe Tennessee travels good wasn’t really knocking UT but the chart.

And I do get it was in Nashville which is only about three and a half hours from me so anybody In tennesse is within 6 hours at the most. I understand every Tennessee fan isn’t from Tennessee but I would bet a good portion is.

And yet the Gasparilla Bowl wasn't sold out with UCF/UF both playing in their home state.

And yet the Mayo Bowl wasn't sold out with UNC playing in their home state and SCAR's campus being 80 miles from the bowl site and pretty much any point in SC being under a 3 hour drive to Charlotte.

Playing in Nashville certainly increased the number of Tennessee fans but it wasn't the sole reason for the turnout
