What's your point?
All Tennessee fans hated him when he was sucking out loud. Let's face it, he did seem quite incompetent for a long, long time.
Now he has learned composure, and how to lead the team. Now we support him.
Again, what's your point?

Here's to you bandwagon fans.

Wouldn't your proclamation make you a bandwagon fan? I highly doubt that you weren't criticizing Crompton's play last year.

If you weren't criticizing his play then you don't know much about football or are just not passionate about UT football.

I wish I could see him after a second offseason with Kiffin, and I also ripped him last year.

The guy completed about half of his passes last year, and had 5 picks to 4 TDs. Watching that last year, and proclaiming him to be the second coming of Peyton wouldn't be being a "good fan".

It would be insanity.

Being a good fan doesn't change the fact that he was atrocious last year, and I'm incredibly happy he was able to pull it together this year. He's second in the SEC in TD passes and is projecting to be drafted. Anyone who could have predicted that this time last year?

I give Lane Kiffin all the credit for Crompton's turnaround. Face it, until this year's Auburn game he gave no one any reason to think he could ever be a competent QB at this level.

Bye JC. I was never on your wagon, therefore, I cannot be a bandwagoner. We should've been 9-3 this year, but JC made sure that wouldn't happen.

yet there wasn't a single QB on the roster that could have changed that. Keep living in your "JC sucks" world but he and CLK proved that 100% wrong.

he did pretty good in the second half of the season so he deserves his props for that, but I think UT will manage without him:eek:k:

I have a hard time with anyone that uses smiley faces in their posts slamming other peoples' opinions.

As much as he has improved, he's still just mediocre.

Ready to move on to bigger and better things!!!

The truth is, Crompton has been a quality SEC quarterback for half a season. Maybe it was coaching, maybe it was receivers, or maybe it was him. I would probably say a little of all three. I never wanted him to be replaced (I knew Nick wouldn't do better) but it was aggravating to watch him. Amazingly (and thankfully) he has made a complete turn around. He went from being one of the most despised quarterbacks in UT history to one of the more beloved. It's a great story of perseverance and determination (through adversity) on his part, as well as, on the part of this coaching staff. I love happy endings, we don't see enough of them in life.

Crompton sucked out loud in the first games of the season. He turned it around in the remaining along with the help of the receiving corp. Did he deserve the criticism at the beginning, yes. Does he deserve praise for turning it around, yes. So get it over it, the criticism and the glory go hand and hand for QB's in this game.

I just wanted competition for the position, IMO that is what makes someone better. Seeing him play at the beginning of the year I would have yanked him out in a sec just to show that continued boneheaded plays do not warrant further playing time. With that being said I agree with hohenfelsvol criticism and disappointment for poor play and praise for getting the job done.
