The Tennessee football program died on December 1st, 2001. You may be thinking...what are you talking about?

That was the night we beat Florida for the first time in the Swamp in 30 years. The winner of that game was in prime position to play in the BCS national championship game at the Rose Bowl in January. All we had to do was win the SEC championship game the following week and we were on our way.

I was a junior at UT at the time, and the team buses pulled up at the track late that night. A crowd of people gathered there to welcome the team back. I knew it was over as soon as I saw the team get off the bus.

Casey Clausen and many of the players got off the buses carrying roses as if they thought it was a given that they were on their way to the national championship. We all know what happened that next week.

That was the last time Tennessee was relevant. The program died that night and since then it has been a zombie that has been allowed to linger far too long. Time to put a bullet in it and be done.

You sound like a union member! I don't like how my bosses treat me so I am going to strike. Just go get another job! My comparison just go be a fan of another team.

I meant what I said last week. I am done forever with Tennessee football. I saw the lowlight during the LSU/Texas game that they somehow found a way to blow another one. Just sad.

The university doesn’t care a bit if anyone stops watching or stops going to games. The tickets have already been sold and the TV revenue will be paid. Football is just a revenue source for the university, they get paid whether the team is good or an utter embarrassment.

You know I get what your saying. Since then it has not been a team but a group of individuals out after self promotion looking to punch a ticket to the NFL.

Let this sink in for a minute. We could have had Mike Leach as our Head Coach. Instead, we get Phil and his puppet named Jeremy. Leach has turned around every team he has ever coached.

Fulmer is a genius. He knew we were going to suck, and he also knew that CJP was heir to the throne of Saban. So what does he do? Bring him here to make him look like a moron of a coach. Now Bama won’t take their future golden boy and their program will fade. It’s like we are a kamikaze pilot to Alabama football.
