He hasn't beaten anyone nearly as good as Georgia, South Carolina, @Notre Dame

He has been competitive once against a good team, and he lost that one all by himself.

NOTRE DAME IS GARBAGE. Dont include them. Not to mention, he played against a 7-5 Georgia team and a 7-5 USCjr team with a team of 8 nfl draft picks.

Yea at the first of the year, we kill Notre Dame. This is the same Notre Dame team that lost to USF this year and Tulsa last year.

Dooley has also had to deal with more injuries than any team could deal with on an already depleted roster. Besides Georgia last year, name one team we played that wasn't ranked out of state?

You are really counting last year when we were starting a freaking walk on at defensive tackle?

How is it Dooley's fault? Name one team besides LSU or Bama that could win in the SEC without their three best players.

Take away Wilson, Adams, and Wright. Arky is 6-6 at best.
Take away Lattimore, Jeffries, and Ingram. USCjr is maybe 7-5
Take away Murray, Crowell, Orson Charles. Georgia is 6-6

You saw what happened to Florida when they lost Brantley, didnt even put up 10 points against the worst defense in the SEC, Auburn. Thats with arguably the best OC in college football

I could go on, and those teams have gotten years to build their team too, Dooley hasnt.

This seems like hypocrisy to 10th power..we call Kiffin's players busts yet we whine about not having Jackson and Bray..(both Kiffin recruits) along with Smith, James, and a few more..and in fact wasnt A. J. Johnson an early Kiffin recruit??? look it up..so he's a bust also??

What's idiotic is that you sit here and blame Dooley for a mess that was 5 years in the making. It's idiotic that so many expect him to put out this dumpster fire with a water gun and complain because he isn't doing it fast enough. I don't agree with every decision Dooley has made, nor do I know whether or not he is the answer to the problems here. However, I have enough perspective and intelligence to know that it takes more than 18 months to right this sinking ship. You have every right to your opinion, and regardless that in your mind you think you are being objective, it is not an original one. So feel free to move on to a new topic.

On a side note, Dooley is not getting fired this year, and the chances of him getting fired next year are slim to none as well. No matter how much you whine and complain, that isn't changing. You know why? It's because folks like yourself, VolBeef, and Fiji do not matter in the big scheme of things in regards to UT football. That is all.

For the record, I don't know yet if Dooley is or isn't a better head coach than Kiffin. What I do know is that Kiffin ran this program further into the ground than Fulmer did which is hard to do. He once touted Montori Hughes as a dominant DT, thought Bryce Brown was the next Reggie Bush, claimed that Dallas Thomas was a future NFL 1st rounder, and the vast majority of his highly rated recruits are no longer at Tennessee because they either suck or were trouble makers. That tells me that he trusts Rivals' evaluations more than his own and he is either awful at judging character or he simply does not care about character, meaning that he was a bad fit for Tennessee.

I'm not a big fan of calling someone a "troll". The term really is becoming cliche. Allow me to back up and specify that DrunkJohnny is an attention seeking, egocentric prima dona who gets off on being in the VolNation spotlight.

I never said I expect Dooley to win more games than he has. I do expect it to not look like we're fielding a ****ing high-school team playing their first year of football. Good grief.

Jackson is gone so that point is worthless. Kiffin had 2 recruiting classes. TWO. Ill count Dooley's first year to make you feel better though.

Bray, Smith, James, Fulton, AJ and Walls are starters out of 50 players signed. So yea thats bad.

Its even worst i can name more busts than actual contributors

it pretty much is their first year of real football. We are playing true freshman and true sophomore across the board
