]I am a Bama homer, and I have no problem with that. But I have just as much credibility as the OP, you, or anyone else on here. The internet doesn't lend itself to credibility.
I've been to enough sports forums, sat in enough sports bars and tailgate tents, and have listened to enough sports radio to conclude that maybe 1 out of 50 stories like the OP's are true. In those venues, the level of *** whipping that your team just received is inversely proportional to the class level of the opposing team's fans. If the OP is that 1 in 50, then that truly sucks. But the chances aren't good.
I've never actually done this...but I can state unequivocally with a great deal of certainty that this isn't true.
I'm a Senior at Bama.
First, the student section isn't anywhere close to any Tennessee sections...opposite end of the field in fact.
The Tennessee sections are in the North Endzone Upperdeck and North Endzone lower bowl.
The student section is in the South Endzone. And the student section is actually gated off from the rest of the stadium during the game. No one can get in or out.
Second, many of the students left after the 3rd quarter after the game got out of hand.
Most, if not all, students leave out of the gates in the student section. None of them would have made there way all the way to the North Endzone after the game in front of the UT section just to leave the stadium. Just doesn't make sense. There weren't that many UT fans left in the lower bowl after the game.
Third, I actually made my way from the student section to the North Endzone in front of the Tennessee section about 10 minutes after the game.
There wasn't so much as Bama/UT fans jawing...nothing anything like that in fact.
I was right in front of the Tennessee band after the game to watch Coach Saban's press conference they show on the video boards.
I saw many Bama fans and members of the Million Dollar Band walk up to UT's drum major and shake his hand and compliment them...so ask your band's drum major how he was treated by Bama fans. I was literally a few steps away from your drum major...so I was definitely there.
So, I'm not going to come right out and say you're a liar b/c that's not nice.
I will say you're not being truthful.
The UGA loss was the only time I've ever seen that happen. It was disappointing to see, but it is a VERY rare occurence.
Night games. Waaaaay too much time for booze. Look at some of the threads we had going here, for God's sake.
Some people are happy drunks, some are pukers, some quietly pass out, and some start yelling and throwing stuff. People who sit near you might behave, but if they're six rows away, they feel anonymous and invincible.
I guess it's true: in vino veritas --true character comes out when the BAL gets high enough, and there are azzholes in every fanbase, including ours.
Question: do SEC stadiums have text message numbers displayed on the scoreboards, so that you can text security? Makes a world of difference in pro sports.
I think its a great idea, except for the fact that cell service usually likes to hide in large stadiums.
It's funny how rare these threads are when your team wins. And I'm not simply saying that about Tennessee, the fanbase of every team does it.

I've always said the worst I've ever been treated by fans was at LSU in 2005. A game we won. This was the year that the LSU President issued a letter of apology to UT because their fans threw rocks at the UT cheerleader/band member busses and broke some windows. Its a classy bunch down there on the bayou.
