First of all, the Auburn fans were great (posibly the best away game's I have witnessed) and the campus was extremely nice.

Now:
I am convinved I am a glutton for punishment. I have made it to all 4 games this year and it is just so depressing and sad walking into each stadium each week, I have less and less confidence that they will do anything to win.

I told myself that if we were down by 10 or more points in the middle of the 3rd quarter and Crompton wa still in the game, we were leaving to go watch the UGA-Bama game. Of course Fulmer gave me a false sense of hope in the 4th quarter with his ping pong like punting battle with Tommy Tubbs.

I am not sure I have ever watched two more inept offenses in my life.

Even though I have made it to Los Angeles, Knoxville twice and then Auburn yesterday (all of these coming from Memphis), I am nto sure I want to make the NI game. The only two reasons, is to see Neyland with 60,000-65,000 people in it and for the obscure chance that Stephens and/or Coleman gets in the game.

I guess I will decide later this week. :cray:

You know whats bad? When you expect to lose against the better teams anymore. Its also bad when the losses start to not hurt as bad.

It was bad enough to stomach viewing it on TV. I can't imagine the suffering Live once let alone UCLA and Fla. You get the "Iron Man Award" for sure. :salute:

Exactly. I didn't feel that bad when I left Jordan Hare. Was it because the game was "par for the course"? Maybe. I hate losing but it just isn't losing like it used to be.

i applaud you for making it to all four games Gcrop.
I have to be honest, some of the main reasons I went to the Auburn game was because we already had tickets and I wanted to see a game in Jordan Hare. SEC stadium #8 for me. (#9 is you count Adelphia Coliseum for Vandy).

Is the NI game going to be pay-per-view only I assume?

I hate to rehash this phrase but apathy is what you speak of.

Almost all of the tickets for that game are already paid for. They would lose a little "popcorn sales" but that is about it.

By the way, there were more Tennessee fans at Auburn than I thought would be there.

Tickets for the game are already bought. They aren't losing anything if I don't go. In any other circumstance I would say it would hurt his pride to see the stadium empty, but since they play for their football family they won't even notice right? :whatever:

It's worth the gas and parking to me to go see Eric Berry play. And if Cedric Wilson is there, a chance to cheer for him one more time (Al Wilson ROCKED the place!!)

Yeah, I'm gonna go Saturday. And I'm gonna enjoy myself. Whether or not I like the game. I'm learning what it's like to be a fan of a second rate team. I gotta hand it to them, it's harder than it looks.

With the tickets being sold and still there are not fans in the stadium will speak very loudly by the UT fans against Fulmer. It tells Hamilton, you got us now with a presold ticket, but if Fulmer returns try getting rid of unsold tickets next year. Remember, most fans bought into the hype of Clawson and the new O way before they knew how bad it would be.

The biggest moment of this game will be who trots on the field as the QB the very first series. If it's either BJ or Stephens you actually might see a standing ovation.

Just back from Auburn. I agree their fans, as hosts, are the best in the conference. I've been to every game this season. Wow, talk about some money I could've put to better use.

Fortunately I have a wedding to attend Sat. so I have an excuse not to go. I can't imagine Hamilton can spin it too much (i.e. high gas prices, etc) if there's only 65K.

On a side note, saw Bruce Pearl at the game in Auburn. Wonder if he's looking at Phil and thinking "you gotta be kidding me -- you can't do any better with some of the talent on your roster?"

Nice that Bruce cares and shows up for FB games, but I gotta figure he's growing weary of watching this product, just like we are.
