I was a freshman in '89. I remember Fortran, the computer lab in the bottom of Glocker, and the that walker dude.

I graduated in 86. should have been 84 cept for a 2 year binder.
Fortran was obsolete by 89. All my computer classes were a waste because of the boom. Card readers, yippee!
One of my CNC machining programs I wrote was actually feed through a tape punch and it punched it into like a ticker tape and it was read by Helen Keller.:blink:

All my first term papers were done on an actual manual typewriter, then parents sent me an electric typewriter. woo hoo!!!

Man, you are old! Can you tell me stories about having to eat gubment cheese during the Great Depression?

Mine too. I found someone that would type em for $10. Fortran (with the cards that you had to stand in like to have run) and COBOL were awful.
