I need a cigarette after reading this. Fantastic work OP. I nominate you for the post game "what other fans are saying.." thread we need along with Chatt's pregame round up.

I leave work in 6 hours and 49 minutes to start vacation. I didn't think ANYTHING could put a bigger smile on my face than that.

Congratulations Nick, you did the impossible.

The funny thing to me is how their "fans" conceded defeat after we shrank their lead down to ELEVEN points (a two possession game still).

In the meantime, I am so gun shy that with five seconds to go and a ten point lead I was still not 100% sure we would win the game haha. I kept waiting for all the time to run off and was telling my girlfriend "don't celebrate yet, there's still five seconds left, anything can happen." The last few years of Vol football have been hard on me.

Did anyone else feel the same way?

Everyone in orange felt the same way. Everyone now talking about the Gators last TD being a "garbage time" score, it sure felt like another Florida miracle comeback at the time.

I read through the game thread on Volnation yesterday. I really enjoyed that.:eek:lol: I don't know how you guys can watch a Tennessee game and be active on this board. I would throw my ipad or smash my computer.:banghead2:

Oh man, I'm not sure I could do this every week but I might be inclined to do this again for big games though :-D

You ain't just whistling dixie!! I can look back on it now and call it a garbage time TD because objectively that's what it was, but at the time I was extremely nervous. One poster on the Florida forum rightly pointed out that we'd all be crapping ourselves if they scored on that drive.

I wonder if he is curled up on the couch with his pajamas on while he is eating peanut butter straight from the jar? It does make a difference as to what he is wearing imho.

excellent, excellent...well done.

Glad you liked it, I was reading through threads on Monday and I was hoping someone had posted fan reactions from the other side because we all like to indulge in some schadenfreude from time to time(and this time I think it was warranted). So I decided to shoulder this burden myself, I honestly may have enjoyed reading through their meltdown as it happened more than any post-game thread I read on VN.

after 11 years, a little pleasure at the expesne of the turds, is more than warranted.

i did go thru and post some reaction from a Bama board's UT/UF game thread, and it was equally fun.

hard to imagine a better set up....disappointing UF and Bama fans at the exact same time. and ND lost too.:eek:lol:

It may very well have been the best day of college football UT fans have experienced in a decade.

Liverpool fan and you live in Charlotte? Check out the Charlotte Reds on Facebook, we're an official Liverpool supporters club that meets at Valhalla's on match days.

Ha! I'm an official member...it's just hard for me to get out for the matches because of my little ones. Haven't made it to a match since they moved back over to Latta Arcade, went to a few at RiRa's last year, and used to go to quite a few at Hooligan's.

Oh man, we're back in the courtyard now, I'm sure you are familiar but Valhallas is like two doors up from Hooligans. Anyway, if you can, try to make a match or two, Swansea at 7:30 ought to be fun. Anyway, small freaking world!! Cheers!

This was great! Thanks OP!

I was disappointed CBS didn't show enough gator tears in the crowd. They sure went back to those dancing UT fans in Gainesville last year.

Anyway, this thread hit the spot.
