I want Chris Peterson

what do you all think?

I think winning in the WAC is on par with winning in the FCS. We need someone with NFL experience or real conference experience.

It sounds snobbish, but it's just true, Boise State is fun to watch but they field Lumberjacks every year to play the 106th ranked schedule every year.

We're better than him.

yes and they have won 2 bcs bowls in 3 years and he has built that program up from absolutely nothing with possibly some of the worst in state tallent in the nation. they beat a very powerful oklahoma team a few years back and beat what some considered to be a deserving national championship contender in TCU. He is just as proven or more as urban meyer, brian kelly, etc.. just my opinion but he would embrace the job. I think promoting thompson to DC and bringing in peterson would be far better than some of the people on our list. Cutcliff???? are we serious..???

TCU played the 114th ranked schedule. Not that impressive.

I like him and I like Boise, he just needs to prove himself somewhere else before coming to us. I hear USF has an opening.

I'm with you, he's a proven winner. I'd like to see him come to TN, but if I'm not mistaken he turned us down the last year.

He would never come to Tennessee. His fake religion isn't popular in Knoxville. I don't see a scientologist coaching in Knoxville.

TCU played the 60th ranked schedule. Texas was #38. Anybody that watched the Fiesta Bowl knows how good that BSU team was.

TCU played a tough schedule that included 4 top 25 teams and 6 Bowl winners.

BSU beat two BCS teams this year (Oregon and TCU). How many BCS teams did the Vols beat this year?

Before you denigrate and up-and-coming coach, you may want to remember that that guy down in Florida coached Utah to their first BCS win (against a poor Pitt team) before leading the Gators to 2 NC's in three years.

That being said, The Vols have no shot at Peterson. He's making $1.5M plus incentives at a place where he can win every year and have a shot at the BCS. Next year, they should open the season ranked in the top 5 (they get everybody back) and will have a shot at the NC.

Petersen can coach. He's not leaving Boise. End of story
you all are absolutely nuts if you think peterson would turn us down. we could offer 3+ million. if he's a football coach at all he would come here before staying at boise i dont care if they are guaranteed a national title for the nexxt 3 years. nobody turns tennessee down to stay at a boise st

He's turned down big programs before. It's not about money with him

NO to all Boise coaches. Why can't people learn that the WAC ≠ SEC or any other BCS Conference. Yes they've won 2 BCS games but they wouldn't have gotten to those BCS Bowls if they played real competition in the regular season. Let's review past Boise coaches:

Dirk Koetter - ASU 40-34 and 1-11 vs. Top 10 teams
Hooten Nutt - Arkansas. The luckiest coach of all time. As an alumni of UofA, you'd be better off with Clawson as the HC because Nutt is so uncreative. Here's his scripted series, 1st and 10 - McFadden iso right, 2nd and 8 - McFadden iso right, 3rd and 4 - McFadden dive and hope he busts a big one, then repeat after punting
Dan Hawkins - Colorado 13-24 in the weak Big 12 North.

Don't hire Peterson. Learn from the mistakes of others.

I officially never even heard what Lane Kiffin's religion was. How does that affect the football team?

Going into the living room of recruits that reside in the south could be interesting...Scientology is not very popular here.

The reason that you never heard about CLK's religion is because he is a godless pig.
