I think some of the best coaching staffs in the country, not necessarily the best teams, have coaches that have the most innovative and best minds.
I truly think that CDD will find that man and our next DC will come from that pool.
He may not be a household name, but will be at Tennessee.

Me so hungy.

But I agree with you. I think we all want someone earning their check instead of just cashing in on their former school's name.

The point, and I agree with it, is that we might benefit from having somebody youngish who is smart, knows the x's and o's, knows the spread, and has his best coaching years ahead of him, rather than behind him. I think we want to hire someone who's been a DC, but who is considered a "comer" rather than a veteran guy who might be a little stale.

Pat Robertson said that Haiti sold their soul to the devil 200 years ago and that's the reason for the earth quake that devistated the island.
Idiotic statements need no explanation.

Everett Withers is the NC DC. He rips some mean nachos. No, Evertt Weatherbottom is the Assistant woman's head coach for the Pahoma Rockets.

Withers seems to have done well every where he has been!! No SEC experience, but has good NFL experience.

I wouldve liked to have snatched up Manny Diaz from MTSU, unfortunately Miss State hired him.

Some other NFL names that I'd look at if I were CDD.

David Gibbs - DBs - Houston Texans - was a DC in past

Ted Monachino - DL - Jacksonville Jaguars

Dave McGinnis - LB - Tennessee Titans - was a DC in past

Steven Wilks - DBs - Chargers - great recent past and has been a DC in his past

Jim Hermann - LBs - Giants - Was a DC at Michigan during a great run (97-05)

I really like Wilks. He's worked under Rivera for a while, has helped his DBs put up great numbers, and is young and was a great personality while in Chicago. Plus...his last name is Wilks.
