UGA and Bama look like the most balanced teams in the S E C on offense and both play very good D. In fact, UGA may give Bama a good game in the S E C chapoinship game.

None really, Murray has played ok and Driskel's finally coming into his own. The SEC is the league where average quarterbacks shine because the best teams are well rounded and don't ask them to be a Matt Barkley. Look at Bama, they make their QB's look like Heisman's regardless how they really preform.

With all things being equal, (except for our depth issues) it boils down to who is the best team on a given day. Playing with heart and being prepared can help level the playing field. No excuses or we've got to 's , man up and refuse to lose! :twocents: :aggressive: :boxing2: :bash: :gun: :realmad:

A few computer rankings I've seen have Florida ranked higher. It's still hard to say one way or the other, though.

They struggled with Akron up until EG got the pick and that was what 6 or 7 mins left ? I think it's more like they struggled with Akron just about entire game .

They came into Neyland stadium on an ESPN Gameday situation, with all the hype, 'momentum' and pressure on them to continue their winning streak against us...

And gashed us in 4 plays that made us quit...when we were actually ahead with <14 mins left in the game...

And, did the same in College Station (atmosphere-wise...not so much "momentum" and winning streak wise)

So...that's gotta count for something....

Exactly, Fla was going to drilled when they came to Knoxville. We were led to believe Tn was ready to end the streak. We were given false hope. Now all of a sudden Fla is great because they drilled us. Fla will be exposed just like we got exposed.

Against Akron I think our team came out flat and played DOWN to the competition.

Bray threw a quick pick 6 and suddenly we were down 7 and still we didn't get it going.

Unfortunately I think our team plays lazy until they're forced to try and play really good and they think Bray can throw 1 good ball and it's an instant score and that they think we can score fast anytime against anybody we face.

That thinking got us by against floriDUHHHH until midway through the 3rd quarter and then the floodgates opened against us, they scored fast and their D toughened up alot and Bray got frustrated, sulked and quit.

I believe that Bray believes all the unwarrented hype he reads about himself and adopted this mindset and it's losing us games since he's believed all his hype ever since high school.

We here on VN even annointed him as the next Peyton Manning before he proved anything as a freshman and we're still overhyping him.

As goes Bray so goes our O since it all goes through him.

If Bray starts playing poorly then I hope CDD has the courage to bench him a series or 2 and let our backup QB take over and see if he can inspire our O to play the way we Vols fans know our O can play.

We don't have to throw the long ball all the time, we just have to keep the chains moving and go score AND keep the bullFrawgs O off the field.

If we had our defense of old I would agree. I would agree if this was the day after the nc state game. But after seeing and being objective about what we have , our defense has problems and seems terribly slow in more than one position. NOW saying that I hope we scheme up to slow GA down. But with the fact that that their qb is pretty mobile will be the downfall for us.

The main thing that gives me some (minute) degree of confidence is that if the dawgs are good for one thing it's pooping their pants in a big game each year... here's to hoping it's this Saturday.
