we will have jonathan crompton, who i feel good about, arian foster, and 7 offensive starters. even if they look bad this year, next year when they come back they mya be a more solid team.

i still think offensive changes should be made but even if they arenot, i dont expect this dismal of a year. i expect it to be like last year and we were pretty good.

yeah,we will be better next year mainly no QB rotation.I look for Crompton to be our guy at QB and Foster at RB.Meachem and our WR need to step their game up and play at their potential.if that happens can u say SEC champions maybe more but i aint gonna get big headed and hope alot.Look we was ranked 2 in pre season and looked where we r now, fighting to stay in the top 25 mayb we r 24th in it right now,we need to get our mental problems fixed...during the off season.thats all i got to say bout that

you have to fell bad for ainge. we were all over him one year and now we leave him out in the cold. that is what happens when you cant keep cool w/ competition.

I can't completely buy into that argument. I do feel that Crompton is on a level above Ainge, but we are yet to see him in any kind of action. My question to you is who are we going to let develop his talent? He may come in and be amazing his first year, but in the recent past quarterbacks have not improved after having a year under Sander's instruction. Also, if the receivers continue to drop routine passes, then no matter how well thrown the passes are we are not going to make any yardage.

Just something to consider......

Anybody who thinks that Crompton is going to come in as a true freshman and save the day is dreaming! Isn't going to happen. Didn't happen for P.Manning, so it's not going to happen for Crompton--especialy if RS is still the OC. Also, keep in mind that the defense is not likely to be as good next year--all three starting LBs are gone. So the D may not be bailing out the offense for 4/5 of every game like this one way. UT has absolutely wasted a championship level D this year. :mf_surrender:

Crompton will be a redshirt freshman and there is a huge difference. He will have already adjusted to college life and will have been in the system for a year. Not saying he'll jump in and start, but he'll be in the mix.

I have no idea how Crompton will play in college ball. He has never taken a snap in college football. As for his development, is he not injured with shoulder injury this year? I can't image he is getting much "experience" this year. Here is something to bake your noodle. After the total mess of handling the offense this year and the lack of being able to develop talent, do you think he will stay at UT or request a transfer?

Yeah, I felt the same way coming into this year! Fulmer will pull a rabbit out his hat, save his butt and we'll be having the same discussions next year!
