That you have so many 18~25 year olds on VolNation telling 30+ year old Tennessee fans that they are not true fans.

I also find in funny that people on here accuse alumni of not being fans.

I've been a fan all my life (not counting infant years---30yrs). I am an alumni. My wife is an alumni. Our children will be alumni. I have seen Tennessee at its best and worst... and I'm still a fan.

I have a right to:

1) expect us to win
2) expect us to play hard
3) get mad when we don't
4) like or dislike any coach
5) express my opinion on this board

If you can't handle that, go to another board.

I agree with you. It is amazing the by in from some of the fans on this board, and that they don't ever question Kiffin or his staff even when we lose badly.

all alums are not fans and not all fans are alums. Pretty sure most of us are here for the same reason. It helps if you don't really take it so seriously

I've not questioned anyone's fandom. I have ,however, questioned where some people have their heads placed.

I don't care if you're 10,20,30,40, etc. Stupid does not stay in just one age group.

being an alum does not make you more of a fan or know more about UT football. we should expect to win but i see alot of tards that think even though we have less talent we should win a national championship

True, I'm not an Alum of UT but, I am of another institution and consider myself to be just as much of a fan as any and plenty more so than some of those that did graduate from UT. I still give to the University annually and support it in many ways tho.

+1...... Acutally, IMO, whether you are an alumni or not, you still have this right, if you are a true Tennessee fan.

I think it's funny that people don't know the difference between alumni and alumnus.


Just playin around and having fun :). Don't take it seriously. I am surprised I am the first to say it.

Do you know what I think is funny? You go out of your way to justify your posts, and even mention with number 5. "Express my opinion on this board", then you go on to tell people that if they can't handle it to go to another board. But to me, it really sounds like you neeed to take your own advice and allow other people to express their opinions on this board. And if you aren't happy with that then maybe you sir are the one who needs to find another board.
