I think it will be Paul Johnson

No thanks.

They gave up a ton of points, lost to Georgia and the offense only managed 7 points against Iowa.

I love Paul Johnson. I think he is one Hell of a Coach, but I don't see it. No reason for him to leave GT and start all over. Change another Pro Set to the Triple O.

i think it will be Meyer, He is just faking the medical stuff to have time to move! Its so Obvious!!!

Meyer actually throws the ball and he turned Alex Smith into a number one pick.

GT's QB is going to be drafted as a runningback and their defense was bad all year. Probably gave up an average of 30 points.

I can't get over the fact that the offense only scored 7 points against Iowa. Losing to Georgia was bad enough.

The Triple Option would fail talk is absolute ridiculous. Who's to say it will fail or succeed. An offense is only as effective as to how well you execute. Nebraska had quite the Offense running the Option.

The same thing was said when Johnson was hired at GT and when Meyer was hired at Florida.
No it wasnt.

Any "gimmick" offense has its doubters from the Air Raid to the Spread Offense.

But the Triple Option would fail horribly in the SEC. Thats because you have to recruit fits for the system rather than top tier talent.

Tim Tebow has unofficially announced officially that he will be the unofficial new official coach, unofficially.

Nebraska ran the Triple Option effectively in the Big 8 & Big 12 over 15 years ago.

This was before college football changed in terms of the systems and schemes on both offense and defense that are now commonly used.

Do you also realize you have to have a great "option" QB to be successful with the Triple Option? There are some guys like Crouch, Gill, and Frazier but there are also the likes of Jammal Lord amongst others.

I guess the only non-gimmick offense in all of football is the Pro-set? Talent is talent. As long as they know and understand their assignments the offense will run smoothly, that is true with any offense. You may not get NFL quarterbacks in an Option Offense, but to say it will fail, and fail horribly is silly.

So then why was Paul Johnson able to go to Ga Tech and take a guy that was recruited as a pro style passer and play him at QB in the Flexbone?

Actually Nebraska ran the option against Miami in the rose bowl in 2001...The last year they ran it was 2002 when they fired Solich for going 10-2 on the season...The option works...UT damn near got beat by Air Force a few years ago running that offense...They ran all over us..A SEC team so all this talk of it won't work is ludicris...But I honestly do not think We will need to worry about if it will work or not because we will not be hiring a coach that runs it
