I think Dooley is in danger of losing this team

Negavols unite! Lattimore is hurt, that's most of their offense right there.

That won't matter. Most of the people in this thread would expect USCjr. to perform exactly the same after losing their best player. That's the standard they hold UT to.

The beat down we will get next week at Alabama will be even worse than a--whipping we got today. That will leave us totally demoralized for S. Carolina. Then we go to Arky and get whipped badly as well.

I think we only get two more wins this year. MTSU and Kentucky. I think Kentucky is the only team definitely worse than us in the conference. We are about equal with Ole Siss right now, and a little bit behind Vandy.

Never thought I would ever see the Vols in such a pathetic state like the mid-late 70's again.

:shakehead:

You fans need to develop some patience. This is another example how our society expects miracle changes overnight. Give Coach D some time like two more years and let's see how we are. Amazing how some of you impatient and panicky.

R U nuts? Do you realize we just played the #1 team in the nation and held them scoreless in the 1st qtr with freshmen and sophs? Who else has done that? No, we're not championship material at the moment but we're not at the bottom of the barrel either. Get real. Plus we play the #2 team next week and I would expect us to lose that one too; I hope not, but do you really think we're top 10 calibur right now? You don't have a clue. I'm wasting print here.

6-6 is unacceptable. It shows absolutely no progress from last year.

No use talking to an unarmed man, or boy. You wouldn't know progress if it bit you. You're probably going to vote for Obama, again. Shouldn't you be out protesting with Wall Street crowd?

ANYONE who did not see marked improvement on the defensive side of the ball in today's game know so little about football it would leave a thimble only half full. The problem was two picks, especially the one that was ran back 89 yards to our five. LSU is very talented and we are very average. We will continue to get better on the d side of the ball. Offense is going to struggle until we run the ball better. I am not conceding the Alabama game and really believe that after that one, we can win out, if we play for 4 quarters. Some of the posters on here remind me of the crack heads in the Occupy Wall street LOSERS. Want something quick, easy, and without any work.

Great comments. The USCe and AR games are winnable. I don't think the Vandy or KY games are going to be easy but we still should beat them, as usual. It will be interesting to see Bama and LSU smash each other. Also saw where the Gators got whacked again. Yay!

I disagree with the hole lose the team arguement, We will struggle, the next few weeks, hell for that matter the rest of this year, but no matter how much you anti-Dooley types try, you will not be successful in getting him fired year 2, it just will not happen.

This is aimed directly at 87Vol. I'm tired of being nice to all these delusional jack**ses on here that expect Tennessee to win 13 games every year, then come on here acting like spoiled children when we don't. So, 87Vol, here's to you.

Go wash your mouth out with a shotgun.

You come in here with "Dooley's going to lose the team, we're gonna get killed by Alabama" and you really expect to not get called on it?? Come ON.....you seriously can't be that simple. Then, in all your infinite wisdom, when someone points out that you're misguided, you respond with "kma" (we're not all children here, we know what it means).......really?? Is that the best you can come up with, child?? I'm guessing that you're no more than 15 years old, and got all your football knowledge from that world-renowned coach, Coach PlayStation, amiright?? If not, enlighten us oh wise one. Inform us of how YOU would direct the Volunteers (oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that you're missing your All-SEC quarterback and All-SEC WR) to victory??? Actually, disregard that.....none of us care. You're not the head football coach at the University of Tennessee......and you never will be.

Word to the wise: Crawl back under the rock you brought your slimy ass out from under, and let the adults talk. Simple as that. You're only going to wind up getting your feelings hurt. There are people on here that know exponentially more than you do, child. Understand that before you go any further with your illogical, misguided, and plain out STUPID line of reasoning.

:salute:

The best you can do is give crap to another poster? How about making a legitimate comment on what Dooley is improving with our team.

:bash:

You'll notice a large majority of the people who post ridiculous comments like the one above have half a hundred posts. Not that the Vol Nation post count is the determining factor for credibility, but it does lead one to believe the OP is unwilling or incapable of evaluating our program without irrational emotion.

Listen to Dooley's post game presser. He eloquently stated repeatedly that we don't have the talent to hang with teams like LSU. Surely if you take a step back you can see that too.

The harsh reality is that our program had been set back five years (at least) with all that transpired in 08'-09'. And the few years prior if you want to make that argument. In the mean time I beg those Vol fans spewing this nonsense to think twice.

If you want this program to have a sense progress around it then do your part and be as positive as you can be. Negativity is contagious, it spews from posts like yours into the stadium. Not to mention that recruits can read this.

Go Vols!

So Dooley threw his team under the bus by saying they don't have talent. Couldn't have been the way they were coached. I bet lots of recruits chomping at the bit to come here. LOL.

IDEA!!!! Get payton manning to come back, dress in a simms jersey....keep his helment on, and cover his face some how...hahahhaha

Don't kid yourselves. Georgia should have been beat by Vandy and the only reason Vandy didn't beat Georgia was because they turned the ball over 4 times to Georgia.

What were the announcers on CBS talking about when they said that Dooley asked them when the dark clould would depart from Knoxville? I don't want to lend credence to the OP's opinion, but if Dooley actually said that to television commentators on the record then it makes me wonder about the mentality of this team right now. This team needs to be fighting and scratching all the way to the final whistle of each game and instead it seems like they've just made up their minds that once they get behind it's time to run up the white flag.

I thought the black cloud comment was a bit strange.

This was in context of the punt block being called back on a delay penalty. It was referring to the misfortunes that have befallen the team over the last few seasons.

I remember the timing of the black cloud comment. Just strange that for Dooley to wonder aloud to the announcers about when the black cloud would leave Knoxville. Can't say, though, that I haven't thought the same thing.

I think what sucks is everyone knows he will get at least one more year, maybe two, but we do not see anything getting better. So he is going to run the program even further into the ground and then he will be fired.

Just stop posting... You don't have a clue what you are talking about.
