The beat down we will get next week at Alabama will be even worse than a--whipping we got today. That will leave us totally demoralized for S. Carolina. Then we go to Arky and get whipped badly as well.

I think we only get two more wins this year. MTSU and Kentucky. I think Kentucky is the only team definitely worse than us in the conference. We are about equal with Ole Siss right now, and a little bit behind Vandy.

Never thought I would ever see the Vols in such a pathetic state like the mid-late 70's again.

we beat Vandy and if we got to play them we beat OM too. Add in UK and we're no lower than 9th in the SEC :p

I think Dooley will rally the troops. We will lose to Alabama, Arkansas, and South Carolina. But, we will win the other three. That makes us 6-6 and bowl eligible.

The OP is way over the top, but this has to be a real concern at this point.

Go to hell. I swear to God half of the people in here know nothing about football. This ain't basketball where you can beat a number one with a bunch of walk ons. You need depth and talent and a perfect game.

I disagree completely with OP. I actually think there were many good things to take from this game today... I expected a huge beatdown and 14-7 at half was excellent. I think given the battle that we've been thru, we have some scars, and this team is TOGETHER and getting better in the trenches.

Don't quit on us vol fans. We might jump up and surprise somebody. I remember 2 years ago, nobody gave us a chance in Alabama, but i seem to recall that a missed kick cost us the SHOCKER upset of the year... could happen along the way, either NEXT week, week after or the week after... hang in there....

Overall, we played very well today with the exception of Siims' miscues. The lack of dpeth and talent gap between the 2 teams showed up big time in the second half....they just wore us down.

We are still 2 years away from being talented enough to do great things. I just hope Bray stays for his senior year. But we would likely only have one loss with Bray, Hunter and Janzen Jackson in there. We have just been snake bit this year losing our three best players.

I am glad you are not on the team.....Why don't you just pack up all your Vol stuff and mail back to the University because you don't deserve it and it would serve someone better.....

The OP is probably a troll but he is not far off from the truth.

I have been a die hard fan since 1989 and even now I don't even wanna watch the games because they just make me sad. Today was painful because it felt like we made no stride at all since firing CPF. I understand the blah blah part about our players being hurt and we're young but it is still getting old and winners don't ever have to make excuses.

I also really really can't stand the fact that we went from Simms to Bray and then back to Simms due to an injury.

I think you're in danger of losing your mind. Terrible October schedule, jj kicked off team, lose hunter, lost bray. What did you expect? We played well the 1st half and ran well against a top defense. Please.

I expect to play competitively with everybody. I expect to beat at least somebody with a pulse at some point in the Dooley tenure. I expect to be seeing improvement not staying the same or getting worse. At best we are no better at all than last year. I think we are slightly worse.

By the way, I am also sick and tired of hearing the reality denier sunshine pumpers making excuses.

You're challenged if you expected this team to even get close to beating this LSU team. The only way we would have won is if LSU had handed us the game with TOs.

Not making excuses. I'm being positive. It takes time to rebuild a team. Look at the roster and quit b*tching. I can tell you don't know much about football.

You can't tell jacks--t. For the record, I expected us to get beat by 30+ points. I even said so in the game thread earlier. I'm just disgusted by it and it is UNACCEPTABLE to me as an alum and fan.

My expectations for the program however are to be competitive with EVERYONE including LSU and AL.
