I think ASU has us.

Mack Brown supposedly said after the ASU game that their secondary would be the best they face all year.

Hope we get blown out by Arky State i hate it for the kids but they are to talented to be coached by an oversized ego maniac.Fulmer cared about the university he would resign NOW! and let the players salvage the season. We need new blood and i am not talking about in the family blood NEW blood period just like we got when we hired Pearl.:search:

god i can't believe you guys...we played TWO TOP 10 TEAMS ON THE ROAD! would you guys calm down about the damn season being over
the issue that we lost to two very good (highly debatable re Cal) teams on the road; it's that we got pasted and showed no semblance of a defense or any coaching whatsover.

I am an avid fan, holder of 4 season tickets, and a recent alum, but I think that this program is done. Just as every company that is "family owned and opperated" starts going downhill when granpappy won't upgrade to computers; so will the Tennessee program start to decline without modernization. We need new blood and new energy. That is hard to say. . . almost like telling your father you don't love him. . . but sometimes it is best to realize you aren't cutting it and hand off to someone else.

That being said, I think we drop this game, 38-17. And I hate it.

Well here is a Jolly Idea for you, BECOME AN ARKANSAS ST. FAN YOU MORON!

Like I said we will beat ASU and I also think we will beat GA but some of the other teams on the schedule besides Vandy and LA Lafayette I would have to say they are toss ups and could see a .500 record b/w

We probably beat ASU and ULL. For once, the "Rule of Gross Tonnage" should work in our favor.

It's a coin toss at this point whether the players go in the tank, or come out firing. Given recent history, it's 60/40 tank.

Thus, the other 8 games are, at this point, iffy at best.

Take our 1-2 record...add wins against ASU and ULL...and split the remaining games.

It's just a numbers game, but the sum in the given equation would be 7 and 5.

Have another bucket of Kool-Aid.

Oh...missed another point.

When fans are comfortable with UT losing to "top 10 teams on the road".....

It's yet another sign that we are slipping.

And...apparently, lowering our standards.

And our expectations.

Can you read? I go to every game. I hope that I am wrong. I hope Tennessee waxes Arkansas State. I wouldn't spend thousands of dollars every year on seats if I wasn't a fan. I said that I think that Fulmer is past his prime, worn down, distracted and that I THINK Arkansas State will beat us. Re-read the post. :banghead2:

Oh, and I am at home now, and changing the avitar to one of my personal favorite pictures from school.

Even last year, as bad as '05 was, I wouldn't have thought we will drop the ASU game. Am I the only realist? I know we have the talent to beat ASU, but we also have the talent to beat Cal.

I still can't imagine UT losing to Arkansas State. That would probably just be traumatizing. We also wouldn't even be able to claim to be better than Michigan.

The fact that we are even discussing the possibility of losing to Arkansas St at home is a sure sign of how far we have fallen. No offense to our Arky St guests, but in the past even the most pessimistic among us would never have thought that possible.
