I still think Pruitt is the man

Seasons done, we have to accept that Vols are not an elite program anymore and probably wont be for a long time if ever. Every program in the country is laughing at TN and recruits who are committed are looking for better opportunities. 10+ years of a badly mismanaged football program with **** coaches has taken its toll. Its going to get worse and mark my words, Pruitt may be gone at the end of the year, not because he is fired, because he will take a DC job. He is not cut out to be a Head coach...Fan apathy will be so much worse now...and that is the nail in the coffin for any program.

Pruitt isn’t getting it done aight, he thinks Tennessee played great aight, he comes from Alabama aight, he can’t be trusted aight.

I liked him until tonight aight.

Wrong. You think any proven coach is going to come to UT where the mob and rabble always have their pitchforks at the ready? Not going to happen. For better or worse Pruitt is what we have for several more years. Or we can do what you young people of the "me first" and "I want it now" generation want to do and continue to reap the same rewards. There's not a quick fix for what ails Tennessee.

Yes I do. Programs pay successful coaches to coach every year. A high level coach will look at the $$$$$ committed to recruiting, facilities, history, and salary and realize this is a dream job. If they don't, there's room in Cheryl's she-shed

I can’t explain why we lost. I don’t know how long it should take someone to build a decent defense. I don’t know why we haven’t been able to put it together. But I do like our coaching staff.

This loss is unacceptable, but we are in a rebuild. I’d hoped year 2 would be better, but it’s hard to replace 3 starters on the DL and there’s obviously some other challenges.

Don’t bail on Pruitt until after he’s had his chance with two of his own QBs.
Op is clearly glutton for punishment.

He might want to actually play one of them then

I still believe he could be. Gsu had the perfect setup. Underestimated because of last season, with excellent hc (strategy wise), quick 7 points off turnover for ut mistake, they had a 5th year qb and excellent rb running the option perfectly. Tn qb cold, never exactly on hitting wrs on target. I will hold judgment until after the BYU game.

Not this staff’s fault. Y’all are so privileged in this microwave society that you think if you whine and scream enough that your mommy will give you an immediate championship. Boo hoo

Pitching a fit gets you nothing dude. Trust me.

It's all fun and games, but, reality is people are tired of spending 100+ on a ticket for a disappointing product. No one who is completely sane expects a drastic change in 1 year, but expects rational improvement in year 2. This game should have been won by at the very least a touchdown. Instead the other guys whom we PAID nearly 1 million dollars too went away with a win.

Surely you can understand why people are pissed.

Today showed we still have plenty of room to fill out the roster. The D-Line was atrocious and I think many here knew it would be our weakness considering we lost most of our starters at the position. Not only that, but we didn't recruit the position well after the 2015 class and didn't have much development occuring under Butch.

Unfortunately, I don't think fans understand how one position group affects the team so negatively. GA State was able to run at will on our team and sustain long drives by manhandling us in the trenches. Offense didn't have as many opportunities and were under pressure playing from behind at time. Also, it is hard to continue to stay the course on Offense, when defense is swiss cheese.

Yes, the state of the D-Line falls on Pruitt, but we have so many needs to recruit in the last year it has been difficult to get them all in one swoop.

Pruitt is indeed the man. The man that oversaw the worst loss in program history. Maybe that's all he'll be remembered for, that remains to be seen.
