I smell upset

I wish it were true -- but I just don't have enough (any) faith that we can beat Florida.

Part of it goes to the OP's first points:
"Confidence is great, over-confidence is not. Tennesse has confidence at the moment."

I doubt that our team is feeling much confidence at all after losing to UCLA and THE WAY they lost. Would be confident with Crompton and that O-line leading you into the Swamp?

And to all the speculation that Florida might be assuming too much and over-looking us....our "brash" coach ruined that chance when he shot off his mouth TWICE about Meyer and the Gators. They've got this date circled, and they're coming for blood.

HAHAHAHAHH... zomg! Post of the year! You gators are so wtfgaysauce. What would we do without your introspective? Troll...

Come on, read your post. Do you really think UT has confidence after last week...especially Crompton. All most of the folks here have done is blaspheme him all week. Eeven Bill King on Rivals Radio said UT doesn't have a quarterback and you can't win without a quarterback and those are pretty strong words coming from him.

Actually, did YOU read the post? If you did, you'd notice it was written 2 weeks ago. Grats on contributing to a 2 week old thread. No one knew Crapton was as awful as he is until 3 days ago. Most thought he had turned himself around.... we were wrong.

what's with bringing up pesky little details?

I think you're smelling something else. What did you have for dinner???

I'd like to hear 1) how you think you could hold UF to 21 and 2) how you think you could score 24 against them. I bet Kiffin would like to hear that as well!

UF 44, UT 10

1. It's called defense. I realize that's something of a mystery to UGA, but UT is loaded with it.

2. I'm still working that out. It may require a lot of luck.

Sorry guys, I thought I had lost this post and entered a second, similar one to replace it...only to find it HAD been posted. So, would we have had a less prepared Gator team if Kiff hadn't done that? Even if you say yes, I submit that it was brilliant even if we get beat soundly. This has been hashed and rehashed, but what Kiff did was remove the focus off of the 18 to 21 yr old kids that were coming off of a 5 win, very down and placed it squarely on his. He can take it and doesn't care AND they can't HIT HIM. Ergo, the object of their ire will be smug on the sidelines.
Lastly, the TN Vols had been relegated to a status BELOW a cliffnote. He and his staff were solidified 4 weeks b4 signing day. He had to make Tn newsworthy again and a household word around recruits homes...Mission Accomplished on all coints. Sheer, calculated brilliance. Win, lose, or draw(overtime:).

So, do you think that they would have, otherwise come in unprepared and unassuming. I submit that it was a brilliant move on many levels that have been hashed and rehashed, but I'll spain it to ya again, rrrucy. First, Kiff inhereted a beatdown program that he had to get "buy-in" from immediately. He effectively turned the weight of media pressure for a 5 win team and placed it squarely on his own shoulders. Boo him...he doesn't care. Crucify him in the press...he doesn't care. The gators can;t even hit his smug arse on the sideline. He ellicited emotion from the opposing coach...a good distraction. And lastly, he had 4 wks, once his staff was assembled to make a 5 win team the focus of the media and , ergo, a houshold word in recruits homes across the country in THAT 4 wks, Sheer, calculated, unabashed genious win or lose!! Remember, this is GROUNDWORK that is being laid. If he's NOT in CUM's head a little bit, he will be next year. Ala fulmer/Spurrier.

I'm not going to go as far as upset b/c our QB situation is simply atrocious...

But I do expect us to surprise the FL offense with our D. I'm hoping Monte opens the game with a safety blitz and EB laying out Teblow....time to send a message...

We'll take our shots this year...but they better enjoy it...bc we're bringing in talent and a gameplan to take it to them

Our offense is no match for FA, but our defense can lay some wood too FA's offense. If we can't win, send the message that UT is on the way back. Make FA's offense real in pain for a few days, that will garner some respect. Even if we do lose.

Well Kiffin has walked the VOL Walk, ran thru the T...time to find out what kinda voice he has....I'm ready to listen to him sing Rocky Top all night long. Go VOLS get them Gators.

And Goliath said to David what's that in your hand just before...well you know the rest of the story.

We're talking about 2009. Every year is different.

Plus, last year, UF lost to a 9-4 team, not some scrub.

Look at 2006, UF only lost one game to an 11-2 team.

Do some research before you post please.

Here's some research:

Florida hasn't gone undefeated in the modern era.

Somebody will pick them off once this year.

Why not us? If not saturday...when?

:salute:

(try not to laugh too hard) lol

I don't know dude. Can both of you lose:crazy: Good luck to you guys but you're up agin it. These guys are stacked. On D you're o'kay but not that deep. On O......well, you better get lots of turnovers. I'll watch it though.

I smell a straight jacket.

Don't forget, they're FL. They'll always have the talent!
