I see/hear a lot of predictions of 7-5 or 8-4 in 2009....

Which games this season do you see as almost sure bet losses for the Vols? There are obviously some that everyone assumes based on these predictions.

Bama's offense may struggle next year with a new QB and some new OL, but their running game will most likely be tough.

That said, their defense should be plain ol nasty. Not feeling good about this one nor the game in the Swamp. OM will be very tough on the road.

UGA and Aub look to be the swing games in SEC play. At least go 1-1...especially if losses to Fla and Bama are of biblical proportions.:scare:

I'm loving the grit and toughness of this team. I think we'll be competitive against everyone this year. It's hard to believe we can win at UF or at UA. I wish we could but it may be too much to ask this year. We probably lose those two and either @ UM or UGA so I think 9-3 is very possible and probably the limit of what we can expect this year. I would be very pleased with 9-3 and I would consider that a huge improvement over last year. 7-5 would be an improvement but I don't think Kiffin and crew would be satisfied with that.

This would be 5 in a row to Fla and 3 in a row to Bama. Where and when will it stop. Bama is only getting better and deeper. Can anyone imagine anything more nauseating than another streak of 5+ straight losses to the Tide?

7-5 is ok, 8-4 is most likely, 9-3 is possible. Will probably win 1 and lose 1 we shouldn't. We have to remember we are coming off a 5-7 season and implemnting new schemes on the offense and defense.(and learning how to play special teams)

WKU - win
UCLA - win
Florida - loss
Ohio - win
Auburn - win
Georgia - toss up
Bama - loss
South Carolina - toss up
Memphis - win
Ole Miss - toss up
Vandy - win
Kentucky - win

7 win and 2 losses for sure
The other 3 could go either way.

I say 8-4

always enjoy the bammer spam threads. If you're not worried about UT then why the effort?

I think we have chance in all of them! We will pull an upset or 2, But we can be upset by someone we are expected to beat also! :hi:

Said it before on another thread; but it's late and there's not much going on in the football world so I'll repeat myself. UCLA is your key game IMO. Win that one and you could easily be 9-3, with losses to FL, OM, and hopefully Bama. Lose to UCLA and IMO Auburn, GA, and SC become additional candidates for losses. IMO your seasonal "mo" will sink or swim with UCLA.

Conceding and assuming the "W" against WKy, of course.

I hear a lot of rumblings (from Bama fans I know), that they are worried about starting a new QB against Va Tech. Especially with your 2 key losses in the OL.
