We all know that he has been struggling of late and we have since found out that much of this could be due to some injuries that he is battling.

However, Thursday is his 22nd birthday. Couple that with the fact that this game has the possiblity of being his last and I think he will show up big time.

(At least I hope so!)

I was going to say this but every time I have Lofton has had a stinker. Going with that logic, I predict that Lofton will have a really bad game. :ermm:

I hope so. We need him. Thus far, he has been an offensive and defensive liability. The guys he has defended the last two games have owned him.

More importantly, we need his leadership. I was at the games in Birmingham and we looked disorganized and unfocused (standing around on offense, not pushing the ball up the court, dropping so many passes I am surprised Butler didn't blow us out, opponents dribble penetration, etc.). I know he is only a player, but being a senior, he can help the other guys focus.
I am excited that we have reached the sweet 16 and lofton and the Vols have not yet played a good game by any standard other than w/l. The cards looked very impressive and dominant. We need to bring our A-game to keep advancing.

Absolutely!!!! we need to bring our A+ game... all weekend... I heard this morning that Lofton is wearing a boot for a slight ankle sprain... hopefully this is just a precaution not a reality...

If this happens to be his last game, wearing the ORANGE AND WHITE I hope he goes out with a bang...(what a sad day it would be, though)

we beat louisville by 10 in the in the ESPN simulation... i was happy for a secong untill they showed childress dunking over padgett and that ruined it...

I have been saying the same thing about Lofton for a couple of weeks,(he is going to go off)But he hasn't yet and it sucks.Thursday I am saying he will go off here is a couple of reasons.1 Eventually he will.2Could be his last game he needs to come through BIG.3 The game is against Louisville (another Kentucky team that passed him up in recruiting). So CHRIS LOFTON the time has come for you to come through big your senior year,although a lot has been accomplished by you and the team Your job isn't done.Get us passed the sweet 16 get that cloud from over OUR head.Just like my wrestling coach used to say(what you effort you leave behind this year will carry into the team of next year.)Now I say it as a wrestling coach.So everyone hope for the best and remember Louisville passed Chris up now he can do the same tp them. ps I am not sure i do not think we have played louisville while ofton has been here have we?Remember what he did to KENTUCKY LAST YEAR WHEN THE OVERLOOKED CONVERSATION STARTED

We played Louisville when Lofton was a freshman, but we haven't played them since Pearl arrived. And, yes, Lofton will do whatever it takes to avoid having his career ended by the other KY coach who overlooked him.
