I Say We Upset Bama or Ole Miss in 09'

The first game will be bad enough. A Frank Beamer D is not the most accommodating environment in which to break in a green Quarterback. I am sure they will have their ears pinned back looking to take advantage of our young O-line as well.

Yeah, the OL will prolly work it self out too. That is a slippery situation for a new QB tho', having to grow with some new linemen. Who is the OL replacements?

Got to imagine Fluker will make his way in there before too long.

Yes, Fluker could slide in at RG or LT and Carpenter could slide into RG. Thats two positions filled assuming either are ready. But that leaves one more hole to fill. The center will likely be William Viachos, who has backed up Caldwell for two years and done a decent job last year. We still have John Michael Boswell, and Tyler Love who were highly touted, but have seen limited action to date.

**** fluker was ready to start in the sec when he entered high school, I thought there was a rumor floating around he didn't get in school?

I'm sorry but we can't have reasonable and well spoken bammers clogging up our board. We don't know how to react to this heresy...

We have 9 commits so far for 2010, 6 are three star or lower. Can I retract my statement???? We better start bringing in alot of horses.

We don't have enough big uglies for 2010 and 2011. If we stay healthy, we will have enough to upset one of these two teams. We have no chance against the Gators unfortunately.

See UL Monroe vs Bama in 07. Stuff happens any given saturday. Not calling us UL Monroe, just an example.

Arkansas will finish ahead of OM. They may even finish ahead of Bama. The Hogs will surprise folks this year.

How will UT fare against Bama and the Rebels? Win one, lose one. That's my prediction. Against whom? I don't know.

Alabama was extremely vulnerable at that juncture after the heartbreaking loss to LSU.

Florida will not likely be that way.

Stuff does happen, but those teams were overlooked. Not sure its the same in our case.

Then I'd go with UCLA over USC in 2006. They blew a rivalry game that would have sent the Trojans to the National Championship.

Volman 38, this is off the recruiting sight and addresses your statement above,,,, just thought you might find it interesting if you had not seen it.

recruiting analyst Tom Luginbill said the Hurricanes were often caught up in the hype machine that occurs in the world of online recruiting. Many websites claim to rank the best players, but Luginbill said the moment coaches start paying attention to the "star system" is when "a program starts walking a cliff."

If we beat Ole Miss, I won't consider the victory some kind of great win over a powerhouse. They are Ole Miss for crying out loud. Bottom dwellers. Overrated andnit will show by the end of the season.

I will be excited if we beat Bammers. I hate them so.

If Ole Miss is favored in the game and Tenn. wins, then it's a upset. Ole Miss will probably be a slight favorite of around 4-6 points. It wouldn't be a huge upset, but by definition it's an upset when the underdog wins.

The last time the teams played in Oxford, Tenn. was favored by 10 points and won 21-17.
